My power steering motor failed suddenly while driving. I was on the highway at the time. The resulting steering difficulty endangered myself and everyone else on the roadway. The power steering warning light came on at the same time that the steering failed. I had no prior warning. I took the vehicle to a service center that confirmed the problem and replaced the power steering motor. I had the motor replaced and kept the defective motor in case you would like to inspect it.
Lane keep assist was off, got an error message "check lane departure warning system" and seemed to lose power steering. I was on the interstate switching lanes. Any loss of power steering is a safety risk.
While driving the Electric Power Steering turned off along with any services that relied on it, like the Lane Keep Assist and Lane Follow Assist. When this happened the power steering went out and it was almost impossible to turn the steering wheel presenting a safety risk.
Blind Spot Monitor System works when not intended to. Changed factory spec wheels and tires with aftermarket wheel and tires with the same specs. BSD sometimes won't work, will work sometimes when its not supposed to, i. E. No car behind you or driving in a single lane.
The car ships with "summer" tires that cannot be used when it is cold. I replaced the tires with GOODYEAR EAGLE EXHILARATE 235 /35 R19 91Y XL VSB. After the change the Blind Spot Warning sensors continuously false trigger (both driver and passenger side). I contacted the dealer but they did not know how to resolve.
While driving the Electric Power Steering turned off along with any services that relied on it, like the Lane Keep Assist and Lane Follow Assist. When this happened the power steering went out and it was almost impossible to turn the steering wheel presenting a safety risk.
After changing the stock tires to all season using the stock rims, the car started giving false positive blind spot warnings on the passenger side and sometimes driver srde. This affect the use of such security feature as is not reliable anymore.
Vehicle stated “check lane keep system”, and proceeded to lock the steering wheel whilst I was doing 65-70 mph on Interstate-5’s Grapevine section. I immediately had to apply brakes, turn on my hazard lights, and then nurse the car to the exit.
The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Veloster N. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the check the engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V258000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 81,000.
Upon swapping out the factory tires for winter tires of the same factory size, the blind spot detection system started showing something in my blind spot all the time. The light won’t go off. It is highly unsafe to have a feature like this that you should be able to trust that doesn’t work.
While driving the Electric Power Steering turned off along with any services that relied on it, like the Lane Keep Assist and Lane Follow Assist. When this happened the power steering went out and it was almost impossible to turn the steering wheel presenting a safety risk.
The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Veloster. The contact received a recall notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V746000 (Power Train). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time to complete the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
DCT transmission failed to shift out of first gear, engine over rev light came on (white, yellow, RED - 7000 RPM!). Got it off the road. Car did it 3 times on the 50 mile trip. Had it towed to dealer, Thomas Hyundai in Cumberland, Md. They said they couldn't duplicate it, car is not showing any codes and they would not do any work on it without a TSB from Hyundai. This is dangerous. It drove ok for a week or two then on Thursday August 25 it did it again. Somebody is going to get hurt with this thing. Date below is most recent incident.…
July 26th 2023 at around noon CDT, when I ran into a relatively heavy downpour. I was traveling at 65mph on a hwy before the rain, then slowed down to almost 50mph due to the rain. There was a vehicle behind me when all of sudden the my cars CEL started flashing, and the car lost power. I was unable to accelerate or maintain speed, and was almost rear ended as I tried to quickly pull off the road. Took it to the dealership the following day, to have the car checked out. With the car out of limp mode they couldn't do anything about it. So I took…
There have been two instances of fuel injector failures on the 2022 Veloster in within 20,000 miles. The first instance (cylinder 2) occurred at approximately 7,000 miles. The car experienced a sudden loss of power, followed by misfires and smoke from the tailpipe and the check engine light coming on during failure. The second instance (cylinder 1) occurred at approximately 19,000 miles. The car experienced a sudden loss of power, followed by misfires and smoke from the tailpipe and the check engine light coming on during failure. Both instance…
