Owner report 11631540 · 2024-12-19 (December 19, 2024)

Hi! A couple weeks ago i noticed the horn in my 2024 Hyundai Venue Limited was not working. My husband made an appointment to take it in to the dealership for the soonest available date which was about a couple weeks from that day. About a week later, the dashboard screen where you see the speedometer, odometer, etc. went completely black. You couldn’t see how fast you were going, how much gas is in the tank, your tire pressure, and a lot more vital information. This happened on a sunday so the dealerships were closed so I disconnected and reco…

I bought a used 2024 Hyundai Venue with 3k miles on Nov 2nd, 2024 from Hyundai Bel Air, MD. On Nov 6th, 2024 I dropped my son at the bus stop in our neighbourhood. When I got out from the parking lot (we dropped him at our church's parking lot) and drove the car, the steering wheel was stiff and when I applied the brake it went out. I had to steer the car to the curb to stop it. It stopped but caused one of the wheel flat and its fender fell off. We called the dealer and after a few arguments they tow our car to their body shop. The Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system on my 2024 Hyundai Venue Limited activates excessively and unpredictably when using cruise control at speeds of 70 mph or higher, particularly during night driving while I am wearing glasses. Twice in the last year (2/23/23 and 1/17/24), the horn has failed and when trying to have the dealer and manufacturer diagnosed the issue, they give me the runaround has been taking it into the dealer. They are unable to replicate the issue. However, they also indicate that it is a known issue with this type of vehicle. I was going to work, dropping my one year old off at his grandparents on the way. Unfortunately, I also placed my main set in the seat in order to buckle up the kiddo. I was wearing a dress with no pockets. The Driver Attention Warning. A mandatory Manufacturing component that cannot be disabled. When driving in heavy traffic at highway speed unwarranted beeps and take a break warnings appear. To be sure this is a severe distraction to drivers and a complaint in my case Hyundai is failing to respond to. The Service …

The Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system on my 2024 Hyundai Venue Limited activates excessively and unpredictably when using cruise control at speeds of 70 mph or higher, particularly during night driving while I am wearing glasses. The alerts occur regularly every 30 seconds to 5 minutes, even when I am actively and safely driving (e.g., both hands on the steering wheel, maintaining focus on the road). The alert includes a loud beep and a distracting visual display with a coffee cup graphic that reads "Consider taking a break" on my instrume…

Since buying this vehicle on [XXX] my horn has become completely inoperative a total of three times. I live in Georgia and a working horn is required per GA Code § 40-8-70 (2024) "Every motor vehicle when operated upon a highway shall be equipped with a horn in good working order and capable of emitting sound audible under normal conditions from a distance of not less than 200 feet..". This is not a unique problem to only my vehicle. If you go through your records I am sure you find well over a thousand such instances with Hyundai vehicles. …

Upon purchasing the vehicle I noticed the windows do not go down and up properly but rather get stuck in both the down and up position. I consider this a hazard because I'm the event of an accident if the website is the only way out it does not operate and also when driving the ability to wind up your windows keeps you safe from dangerous persons who may be inclined to reach through the window to attack those in their cars

The soy-based coating on the harness surrounding critical wiring attracts squirrels who are keen to the scent resulting in wiring critical to the operation of the vehicle being chewed and malfunctioning. Not only is this repair expensive, but since one doesn't know it has happened, it is extremely dangerous when messing with critical components that affect the safe operation of the vehicle. Insurance has determined they will pay for the repair, but nothing is done to recoup the $500 deductible I had to pay, and the inconvenience of not having m…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
