Owner report 11602339 · 2024-07-15 (July 15, 2024)

While at a stop in DRIVE, the car would automatically shift itself into Neutral without warning. When I contacted the dealer, they were aware of this issue in other vehicles. I brough the car in for service and in the description of the work, the mention that they knew where to address the problem, as it is a known issue. The dealership stated, "PREFORMED BATTERY PERFORMANCE TEST PER PREVIOUS TECH LINE CASES WITH SIMILAR ISSUES. BATTERY PASSED TEST WITH CPX900 AND DCA8000. Owner report 11704996 · 2025-12-15 (December 15, 2025)

Most issues began around the 6th month of the first year of ownership and have persisted. Current mileage is ~31,500. Safety-related defects: 1.Washer system leak/empty reservoir: washer fluid repeatedly drains/ends up empty, preventing windshield cleaning while driving and reducing visibility. Began after a dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025 for panoramic sunroof noise (“concern began after prior dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025”). 2.Rear driver-side window intermittently lowers by itself (electrical), creating distraction and a safety/security…

I am submitting this to supplement NHTSA Complaint No. 11704996 regarding a 2024 INFINITI QX60. Current mileage approx. 31,500. No injuries. Crash/Incident (property damage only): Within the first 2 months of ownership, while backing into a parking space at a grocery store parking lot, the Parking Collision Warning did not alert and Automatic Emergency Braking did not activate. Owner report 11723735 · 2026-03-11 (March 11, 2026)

On February 27th, 2026, around 2:00 PM, while driving my 2024 Infinity QX60 on Hwy. 459 in Birmingham, AL, at approximately 70 mph in heavy traffic, the engine suddenly shut down completely and shifted into neutral without any prior warning lights, noises, or symptoms. I had great difficulty figuring out what had happened, and struggled to avoid being hit while crossing over three lanes to coast to the shoulder. I attempted to put the car back into drive without success and was absolutely terrified as I barely missed being hit by an 18-wheele…

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this letter to formally report a safety-related defect involving my leased Infiniti vehicle, serviced at Edison Infiniti in New Jersey on August 1, 2025. Despite reporting excessive tire wear and a persistent pull to the right, the dealership concluded that the alignment was within factory specifications and attributed the damage solely to a lack of tire rotation. Based on this assessment, I paid out of pocket for a wheel alignment and replacement tires. However, the condition of the removed front tires t…

After going through a touchless car wash with undercarriage spray and clean, the vehicle stalled 5-10 minutes later. This occurred after the wash was completed and driving away. Suddenly the engine began to lose power, stumbled, and then died while driving. If I had to guess this was a sensor or some electrical component that may have been affected by the water spray from underneath. There were no check engine or other warning lights when this occurred. Attempted to restart the engine. After a few seconds longer than normal it started and appea…

AT APPROXIMATELY 40K MILES, THE DEALER REPLACED THE CVT BECAUSE THE CAR WAS "BUCKING" AND CREATED A CODE THAT THE MECHANICS COULD SEE. THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM UNTIL A FEW THOUSAND MILES LATER; THE CAR NOW JUTTERS AROUND 20-25MPH ON FLAT ROADS AND VERY PRONOUNCED ON INCLINES THEN PRODUCES A WOBBLE THROUGHOUT THE CAR AT SPEEDS ABOVE 25MPH. WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS, THE SYMPTOM STOPS. BOTH THE SERVICE MANAGER AND TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST TOOK THE CAR FOR A RIDE WITH ME AND EXPERIENCED THE SYMPTOMS. There are two problems we have had for many miles. 1. CVT- completely gone at 120K miles but we have had problems almost from the beginning (lease then bought). We were told by the Infiniti dealership they couldn't find anything (30-40K miles approximately) so we let it go thinking maybe it was the carpet mat rubbing up against the gas pedal that made the engine scudder, limp then go fast. Dealership is asking $7K + to replace. -Safety wise the acceleration was lessened. Think of merging on a highway with 18 wheelers on your tail and the car j…

But instead of slowing down, I felt a push in my back and for a second the car began to accelerate and only then began to slow down. My car rolls back and forward, more than normal, after parking and putting the park into park and lifting foot off the break. It rolls back so fast that it knocked my mother forward and it knocked my daughter to the ground. In moderate to heavy rain, the windshield wiper pushes water onto the drivers side window. This water then streaks diagonally down across the window, blurring the view through the drivers side mirror. I experienced this in two cars, once on the test drive on [XXX] in Dublin, and once driving through the [XXX] in rainy conditions. Rain is when you need visibility to be good. I have not experienced this in any other car I have driven. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On multiple 2024 Infiniti QX60 vehicles (test drives, my vehicle, loaner vehicle), the driver-side door rearview mirror glass vibrates under all driving conditions. This can blur the image and is unsafe during lane changes. Note that the passenger-side door mirror glass does NOT vibrate. It appears to be an isolator issue on only the driver-side door mirror. The problem was investigated and confirmed at an authorized Infiniti dealership (Coulter Infiniti) but they stated that all 2024 QX60 experience the same issue and it is normal. I stat…

Dealer replaced my driver side mirror assembly a few months ago to get rid of the wind whistling noise, but we noted the "new" mirror would vibrate even at a fairly low speed. So took it back to dealer during the 15k mile service. The tech said the mirror had too much play so the dealer ended up replacing the whole mirror assembly. But the newly replaced assembly was also vibrating. Dealer said that there is not much they can do and asked us to call Infinity customer service. Customer service said that that vibration is considering within e…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Distorted view through the windshield. When looking at lights, double image is visible. This is especially pronounced at nights, causing poor visibility and eye strain. This issue seems to be isolated to vehicles with heads up display, because of the lamination.

Attempted to restart the engine. After a few seconds longer than normal it started and appea…
