Owner report 10149912 · 2006-02-09 (February 9, 2006)

WE HAVE A SCHOOL BUS THAT HAS HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED FOUR TIMES SO FAR AND HAS HAD 8 NEW INJECTORS PUT IN IT AND IT STILL DOESN'T RUN PROPERLY. THE SAFETY ISSUE IS IT WILL NOT MOVE WHEN COMING FROM A STOP AND WHEN IT FINALLY MOVES, IT IS SLOW. DOES NOT BUILD UP SPEED QUICKLY. IT IS BACK IN THE SHOP AND THEY CANNOT SEEM TO FIGURE IT OUT. THE FIRST TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT WAS PUT IN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, ONE IN OCT. 2003, ONE IN OCT. 2004 AND ONE IN JUNE 2005. THE VEHICLE HAS 102,000 MILES ON IT AND REALLY SHOUL…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
