August 17, 2024 makes a year of when i purchased my 2018 international LTA26 6X4 . The vehicle has been to several shops (Westrux International) where i paid for service that ended up being a recall for (Velocity calibrations) which did not fix the problem. (Southwest) is the next shop i took my truck to However, the mechanics were still unable to determine the cause of failure. I have researched on NHTSA and found recalls (Connecting Rod May Crack and Cause Engine Failure) that relate to my problem i'm having with my truck.

I drive tractor trailer for JB Hunt. Over the last 4 Years, the three trucks I have been assigned to have had exhaust leaks that vented into the cab. One was a Freightliner (approx 2017 model), and two have been Internationals. These exhaust leaks caused me medical problems, requiring that I take off time unscheduled. The last three trucks I have been assigned to have had exhaust leaks into the cab. Some leaks I only found with a thermal camera. The exhaust leaks are not the main problem. The problem is that design of these trucks cause a…

This continually fills the engine bay with exhaust gases and vapors. There is an attached video and pictures. A separate email will be sent to add this information to 11442614. On [XXX], I was operating (bobtail) truck number [XXX] and needed to complete some tasks outside the truck. I set the parking brakes by pulling the yellow valve out. The truck didn’t make the usual loud noise we hear every time we set the brakes. After a couple of minutes of reviewing the documentation I was supposed to drop off at that location, I stepped out of the truck with the key in my pocket and walked away from it. When I was about 100 feet away from the truck, I saw it rolling down on my right side. I went to recover the truck, and the…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
