The entry door on my Jayco 264BH has become extremely difficult to open and close because the bottom of the door is rubbing against or making contact with the frame. This makes it nearly impossible for children to enter or exit the RV safely. In addition, closing the door from inside the RV is very difficult, which poses a significant safety risk, especially in emergency situations where quick exit may be necessary. This defect could prevent occupants, including children, from exiting the vehicle quickly and safely.

Our RV experienced frame failure twice. It was repaired by the rv facility the first time as it was under warranty. 2nd time it was not. This is a widespread and ongoing issue on Lippert frames and needs to be on a recall. The danger of a 45ft 5th wheel frame breaking on a major freeway could be catastrophic.

After a trip from Dallas to Los Angeles, I noticed inside tire wear on the rear tires. After close inspection, found both leaf spring support brackets had separated from the frame and rear axle was ~3" shifted to the left. If we had started to make the trip back home, the axles could've come off the trailer resulting in a terrible accident. Pictures were taken and sent to Good Sam for extended warranty and Jayco was supposed to have been informed to OK the repairs. Not sure if this was done.

We have experienced an axle failure on our 2021 Jayco Travel Trailer. The trailer has never been over GVW. After a month of discussion with Lippert/Jayco they are unwilling to correct the following issue. Lippert's axle sticker (photo attached) states the Static Load Radius as measured is 11.9" & not to exceed this rating by more than 10%. The Baja Edition option as built by Jayco comes with 16" wheels & off road Goodyear tires. My Measurement of the SLR is 14.6" which exceeds the warning on the Lippert axle sticker. This is what I believe cont…

Bought the trailer brand new. One of the leaf springs completely snapped and broke while driving on a smooth road. Trailer was not overloaded. Leaf springs were replaced twice by warranty with the same parts and the springs were flat and W shaped each time. The are supposed to be U shaped. The part they are installing on the trailers are not sufficient and going to cause death or injury. Photo included is the 2nd replacement right after install. Empty of water and leaf springs were already failing!

174BH-rear emergency latch is not secure when opened it can easily become ajar and may strike child in the eye causing damage. Small bumps in to the handle cause the window to shut and the handle to move back into the sleeping quarters. Further in the event a child needed to escape the window one must hold the window up. A child would not be able to hold the window up causing a safety issue. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

I BOUGHT A 2019 JAYCO JAYFLIGHT, TRAVEL TRAILER, MODEL 29BHDB. MY SLIDE OUT HAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT IS ALSO A SAFETY AND A LEGAL ISSUE AS WELL; BECAUSE THE HOLE TO INSERT A CRANK TO MANUALLY OPERATE THE SLIDE SHOULD IT FAIL IS BLOCKED BY THE TANK, SO IF THE SLIDE SHOULD FAIL THERE IS NO WAY TO MANUALLY RETRACT IT, WHICH MEANS THAT I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE WITH MY SLIDE EXTENDED IF THAT SHOULD HAPPEN, THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A LEGAL ISSUE BECAUSE IT IS AN OFFENSE TO DRIVE WITH YOUR SLIDE EXTENDED, BUT I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE TO A REPAIR…
