As a result, the loaded trailer pushed the truck downhill, causing it to jackknife and collide with the truck. I have emails from the manufacturer informing me that the brakes will not work on there trailers as delivered. The problem is that the brakes have an anti corro…

The contact's employer owns a 2024 Kaufman GVWR 38500 gooseneck trailer. The contact stated that while the trailer was empty and being hitched to a 2023 Ford F-450, the trailer was raised 4 1/2 inches off the ground, scraping the roadway. The contact's company, a trailer manufacturer, was unable to adjust the hitch height above 4 1/2 inches from the ground. The trailer was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and recommended adding an extension to raise the hitch height; however, the contact stated that the front of the …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
