TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 KZRV ESCALADE TRAILER. THE AXLES WERE 7000-POUND AXLES AND THE TRAILER WEIGHED 16,000 POUNDS. THE AXLES WERE OVERRATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE AXLE COULD BE USED FOR THIS VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC CHANGED THE AXLES AND NOTICED THE BUSHINGS WERE WORN OUT. THE BUSHINGS WERE NOT REPLACED. THE TRAILER DID NOT HAVE AN ODOMETER. THEREFORE; THERE WAS NO MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE. *AK

THE TIRES ON THE RV WERE FREESTAR BRAND, ST235 80R16, LOAD RANGE 'G' AND THE DOT IS TCI 4705 ON 3 TIRES AND TCI 4805 ON THE OTHER 2 TIRES. BOTH BLOWOUTS RESULTED IN EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO MY RV AND I WAS LUCKY THAT WE DID NOT HAVE A BAD ACCIDEN…

MY KZ NEW VISION SPORTSTER FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER CAME EQUIPPED WITH "FREESTAR" BRAND TIRES, MADE IN CHINA BY NANKANG, AND IMPORTED BY TIRECO. ON OUR FIRST TRIP, ABOUT 1200 MILES FROM HOME, I EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT. I CALLED MY DEALER, WHO REFERRED ME TO A FACTORY REP AT "KZ". BOTH INDICATED THERE HAS BEEN PROBLEMS WITH THESE TIRES, AND TOLD ME TO CALL TIRECO, WHO WAS HANDLING THE CLAIMS. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD REIMBURSE FOR REPLACEMENT OF ANY TIRES THAT WERE DEFECTIVE. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN ABOUT THE REMAINING TIRES, AND THEY SAID TO SHIP THEM…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
