Door actuator motor failed and door doesn’t open. Known in forums that it’s a bad design where water from washing or rain leaks and corrodes the actuators leaving failed doors from opening.
Exterior door-handle/ actuator mechanism when it rains or the car gets washed it goes out and doesn’t work. It could be a safety issue if ever in a critical situation and you can open the door. It’s an issue a lot of Lexus LC500 owners are having.
Door handle failure. Well known issue. Internal door actuator commonly fails, causing you to be unable to open the door whether you are inside or outside the vehicle. Repair is also rather expensive.
The contact owns a 2024 Lexus LC500. The contact stated that the convertible top was leaking. While driving at approximately 70 MPH in the rain, water started to enter the vehicle. The contact stated that the passenger used paper towels and clothing to capture the water. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Lexus of Melbourne (6927 Bromley Drive, Melbourne, FL 32940) where it was diagnosed that there was an intrusion …

GOOD DAY GENTLEMEN: THIS REPORT IS CONCERNING A KNOWN, ONGOING AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH LEXUS LC500 CARS FROM 2018 UP TO AND INCLUDING 2025 COUPES AND CONVERTIBLES. THE PROBLEM CONCERNS THE DOOR HANDLES/ACTUATORS. APPARENTLY WATER SEEMS TO BE THE CULPRIT. THE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT INSIDE BOTH DOORS FAIL AFTER A WHILE INVARIABLY ON ALL THESE CARS DUE TO WATER GETTING INSIDE. LEXUS KNOWS ABOUT THIS ONGOING VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND SUPPOSEDLY IS LOOKING INTO IT. THE REASON I AM NOTIFYING YOU IS GOD FORBID A DRIVER GETS…
