We were driving to Fort Bragg, CA on Hwy 20 W of Willits, CA in the mountains out of cell service, and the car was surging like it was out of gas, would not respond to throttle input, then just died. This put us in danger because we were heading down a steep hill on a narrow 2 lane road, and could easily have lost control from loss of braking and handling due to loss of power steering & power brakes. I was able to coast a few yards and immediately pull off into a small cut out on a corner and stop. I have no idea if the recall to fix the def…

THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM BLOWS FUSES AND STOPS WORKING, BUT THE LIGHT ON THE DASH CONTINUES TO INDICATE THAT EVERYTHING IS WORKING. IN OTHER WORDS, THERE IS NO WAY TO LEARN THAT THE COLLISION SYSTEM IS OFFLINE UNLESS YOU'RE WILLING TO SIMULATE A NEAR CERTAIN COLLISION (WHICH I DID WITH THE DEALER IN MY CAR AND HE FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM), OR HAVING AN ACTUAL ACCIDENT. My vehicle has the V6 twin turbo engine that’s been recalled on other years and models and was diagnosed with an internal engine failure. The mechanic at the dealership couldn’t figure out the problem so an expert TAS Lexus specialist was called in and couldn’t figure out the problem either. THIS IS CLEARLY A DESIGN FLAW. IF THE FUSE IS BLOWN, OBVIOUSLY THE SYSTEM SHOULD SHOW AN ERROR WHEN IT'S ENGAGED - NOT A GREEN INDICATOR.

Upon discovering the issue, I immediately contacted Kendall Lexus to report the problem. They agreed to have the car towed back to their dealership for further inspection and resolution. Sometimes, the car's RPM goes up to 4 and stays there as the car is unable to shift into the next gear. So, the car is not really accelerating at times when this happens. I have to pull over and turn off the car and start it again and sometimes it works correctly and at other times it doesn't. I've started to get check engine lights from time to time that point to solenoid issues. This makes driving this car very dangerous as this issue happens randomly. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL CAMPAIGN SINCE IT INVOLVES AIRBAGS. WHEN THE WARNING LIGHT GOES ON, THE AIRBAGS ARE DISABLED AND THE VEHICLE SAFETY IS COMPROMISED. I ALSO BELIEV…

BRAKE MALFUNCTION ERROR WAS SHOWN ON THE SPEEDOMETER SCREEN WITH FIVE LIGHTS (ABS, VSC, BRAKE, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, AND WARNING LIGHT). THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME VERY SOFT AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO ABRUPT STOPS. ON OTHER OCCASIONS THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME HARD AS A ROCK AND ALSO MADE THE VEHICLE COME TO A JERKING STOP. PULSATION AND NOISE WERE ALSO NOTED. DEALER ADVISED THAT THE BRAKE ACTUATOR PART (44050-50110) WAS THE CAUSE OF THE MALFUNCTION AND NOISE. LEXUS TECH AND ADVISOR NOTED THAT THIS IS A A VERY COMMON ISSUE ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL - 200…

I OWN A 2006 LEXUS LS430, WHICH I'VE HAD SINCE NEW. IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 70K MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED SOLELY AT LEXUS DEALERSHIP WHERE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN RALEIGH NC. TODAY WHILE REVERSING DOWN A STEEP DRIVE MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND CUT OFF. I LOST ALL HYDRAULIC BRAKE ASSISTANCE AND STEERING ASSIST. I WAS MOVING AT ABOUT 8 MPH AT TIME OF FAILURE. NO MALFUNCTION INDICATORS APPEARED ON THE DASH BEFORE OR AFTER THIS. MY VEHICLE HAD AT LEAST 10 GALLONS OF FUEL IN THE TANK AS IT INDICATES ABOUT ⅝ FULL. I WAS ABLE TO REST…

AT APPROXIMATELY 2:00 PM ON JAN. 5, 2020, I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 LEXUS LS 430 IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA IN BETHESDA, MD. I DECIDED TO TURN AROUND. I TURNED RIGHT INTO A DRIVEWAY (AT A LOW SPEED) WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED. SUDDENLY, AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR ACCELERATED WILDLY, MAKING A GREAT DEAL OF ENGINE NOISE, AS THE THROTTLE APPEARED TO BE WIDE OPEN. THANKFULLY I HIT A NEAR-BY TREE AND TWO FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A HOMEOWNER CALLED THE POLICE, AND AN AMBULANCE TOOK ME TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT A NEARBY HOSPITAL. IF THIS SUDDEN ACCELERATIO…

WHILE DRIVING, THE NAVIGATION MONITOR SCREEN HAS GONE BLACK AND RESET 10 TO 15 TIMES. WHEN THIS HAPPENED, ON 2 TO 4 OCCASIONS, A RED "ELECTRIC POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT" COMES ON FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THE STEERING HESITATES. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON I-5 AT 60+ MPH. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AFTER I SLOWED DOWN TO LESS THAN 50 MPH.

BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY (IN MOTION) INTO A CITY STREET, CAR STOPPED ABRUPTLY AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. IMMEDIATELY WARNING LIGHTS VCS, BRAKE AND ABS SHOWED ON PANEL. THE ABS CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED 6/25/20 COSTING ME $2,708.36 (INVOICE ATTACHED). IN MARCH (03/06/20) I PAID $2,014.96 FOR TIRES AND BRAKE REPLACEMENT (INVOICE ATTACHED). THAT'S A TOTAL COST OF $4,723.32. I FEEL SCAMMED BECAUSE I THINK THE BRAKE JOB IN MARCH CREATED THE PROBLEM FOR THE ABS TO MALFUNCTION AND IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MY RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE IT.
