Owner report 11416779 · 2021-05-16 (May 16, 2021)

THE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM DEACTIVATED RECENTLY AND ON INSPECTION, FROM THE FACTORY, THE CRITICAL BRAKE SYSTEM WAS LOOSELY ZIP-TIED BETWEEN THE FIRST AXLE AND THE FRAME IN A PINCH-ZONE AND THIS RESULTED IN SEVERING OF THE TWO WIRES RESULTING IN A NO-BRAKE CONDITION. WAS NOT AWARE THAT WE HAD NO BRAKES WHILE TOWING A RACE CAR AND SKIDDED ON THE HIGHWAY, BUT DID NOT RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. HAD TO REPAIR THE TWO WIRES. THIS IS A HUGE AND CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE THAT MAY IMPACT OTHER TRAILERS MADE BY LOOK INDUSTRIES. ## VIN PASSED ## LGS INDUSTRIES 201…

I have a Look 24ft enclosed car hauler with torsion axles. When I go the trailer home the first day, I thought the wheels were sitting oddly in the wheel wells. I chalked it up to it having torsion axels and not giving it a second thought. On it's very first trip from WA. to AZ., I noticed on my tire pressure and heat monitor that the passenger side rear tire was about 20 degrees hotter than the rest. I kept pulling over to let it cool and inspect it. Outside of Las Vegas, the tire exploded. I put on a spare and finished my trip. This Aug…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
