While driving on the highway my vehicle experienced a sudden severe loss of power that led you a metallic rattling noise under the front of the vehicle and smoke coming out the exhaust pipes. Took it to a Ford dealership for diagnosis and repair however, it recommendations were long engine block replacement due to coolant intrusion from a cylinder wall cracking due to a manufacturer defect that is a widely known and has a large class action lawsuit. Owner report 11472949 · 2022-07-08 (July 8, 2022)

This 2021 Lincoln Corsair is equipped with Auto Start/Stop technology. Auto Start/Stop Technology automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a full stop and idles for more than a few seconds. Once the driver puts pressure on the accelerator, then the engine turns back on. It's simple, and some say it can save between 3-5% of gas in stop-and-go traffic. My car while stopped with the engine off, at a red light for example, after approximately 45 seconds, it will re-start itself and lunge forward. It does it every t…

My 2021 Lincoln Corsair has 20,691 miles on it. At a dealer visit on June 9, 2025 for an oil change and routine maintenance I was told by the dealer that the rear brakes needed replacement. A friend of mine with a 2022 Corsair with 18000 miles on it has the same issue with rear brakes being worn out. This appears to be a common issue with late model Escapes, Corsairs, and Ford Edges. Rear brakes should never wear out in 20K miles unless the calipers are sticking which is what is happening. This appears to be a safety issue as the rear brakes c…

The roof of my Lincoln 2022 roof leaks water above the driver seat during rain, while driving, or when the car is parked. I checked the sunroof, but there is no sign of a water leak from around the seal. It looks like the water is entering the roof panel either from the front windshield glass or elsewhere. The water drips on the driver seat and the steering wheel and has caused discoloration to the driver seat. This water leak distracted me while driving due to sudden water leak, it is not safe as it could cause accident.

The audible on the turn signal is very quiet and hard to hear. The dealership inspected this and confirmed it was very low. The dealership compared it against another Corsair and noted that was also low. I checked with another user of the same 20025 Corsiar. She had the same problem. I feel that this low audible signal will cause accidents. This occurred since I first leased the car.

This luxury car has seat three seat memory positions: When you press the button the seat should go back to the computer-stored position (For the seat and steering wheel). The computer-stored position does not remember the position resulting in one getting jammed against the steering wheel and jamming ones feet into the peddles. While the seat memory recall feature is intended to be disabled unless stopped, the feature can be activated when moving slowly, like when approaching a stop at a stop sign or the garage door. The combination of the def…

The Corsair menu includes a Pre-Collision Assistance (PCA) option that controls Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and a Distance Indication icon (DA) in the display. The AEB and DA have not functioned at all since we bought the car (08/10/2024). A dealer has had the Corsair 3 times for a total of 12 days and has not fixed the problem. In fact the dealer has stated: "Customer should not expect the car to stop". Neither the display nor touch screen have posted any messages or warnings. The last time for 9 days we had a loaner Corsair. Ne…

THE MAIN CABIN HEATING SYSTEM DOES NOT REACH AND MAINTAIN DESIRED TEMPERATURE SETTINGS WHETHER IN AUTO MODE OR IN A MANUAL SELECTION. HEATED STEERING WHEEL HEATS UP MOMENTARILY AND THEN COOLS DOWN EVEN THOUGH THE BUTTON IS STILL ON. DEALER TECHNICIANS WERE ABLE TO RECREATE THE SAME ON OTHER CORSAIRS ON LOT. MY OPINION THINKS IT LIES IN THE COMPUTER MODULE THAT CONTROLS THESE FUNCTIONS AND MAY NEED TO RE=PROGRAMMED. HAVE NOT TRIED THE A/C MODE AS WE ARE IN LATE WINTER. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Auto Start/Stop Technology automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a full stop and idles for more than a few seconds. Went to unlock vehicle but found it was unlocked. Tried to start car and noticed there was nothing in the car that worked, interior lights, dashboard monitors, all computer functions were out and could not open the rear hatch. I was told by the dealer service department that Lincoln considers this normal operation.
