Vehicle failed oil consumption test. Vehicle has been leaking and/or losing oil for months despite the issue being alleged fixed under NHTSA recall 18V272. The issue is ongoing and Mercedes Jacksonville is claiming the oil leak is from another issue not covered under warranty or recall order. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

I was driving from Florida to my home in Washington, DC on September 4th, 2023 on I-95. Somewhere in South Carolina, a message appeared on my display that said the blind spot assistant was disabled. Soon thereafter, my turn signals quit functioning. At first chance, I pulled over and turned the car off hoping it was some kind of computer reset. That worked but only for an hour or so. I made it home ok but not having turn signals was very dangerous and very concerning. I took the car to a local DC Mercedes mechanic who ran a diagnostic but not…

I do not believe they are unrelated and they have not been able to identify the exact issue.
