I WAS IN AN AUTOMATED CAR WASH AND THE CAR WAS IN PARK. WHEN THE WASH WAS COMPLETE, I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE, BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVED FORWARD. THE PROXIMITY SENSORS KEPT SOUNDING THOUGH THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE WAY. AFTER SHIFTING IT IN AND OUT OF GEAR, TURNING THE STEERING WHEN BACK AND FORTH AND PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, THE CAR FINALLY SHOT FORWARD OUT OF THE WASH BAY. I LATER CALLED THE IN-CAR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE AND THEY SAID THAT SOMETIME THE SENSORS GET COVERED WITH THE PRODUCTS USED IN THE CAR WASH.

Vehicle went into limp mode at 83,000 miles and it was due to the electronic valve body failing within the transmission. Dealership mentioned it shouldn’t happen in a vehicles lifetime, this includes maintenance at the right interval (60,000 miles), which mine was. I was quoted roughly $3,800 by the dealership but after speaking with corporate it was brought down to $2,600.

added information: the issue is the piston, it went off due to a bad part. Mercedes Benz knew about the issue with the type of engine M247. there is a class action lawsuit pending. But I'm reporting this because i didn't know and it happened to me just a month out of warranty. Now, the dealership is asking me to pay for the labor. the dealership is House Of Imports in Buena Park. This has to do with the piston failure.

In April 2022, I purchased a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 4MATIC from CarMax in Tinley Park, Illinois. Mercedes-Benz confirmed the battery had not been replaced since 2018, despite CarMax’s assurance that it was new. This defect contributed to electrical system malfunctions, affecting the vehicle’s performance. Additionally, CarMax conducted substandard repainting on …

I have a 2019 Mercedes E300. My backup camera is cutting out while still in reverse. There is an open saftey recall for that specific year, make and model. Campaign #2022060007. Mercedes has told me there is no open recall for my vin even though I am experiencing the same saftey issue. The Issue has been diagnosed by an independent shop. It is a software update not a part that needs to be replaced. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police or others. There has never been a warning light on for this issue.

As I was entering the vehicle and getting into my seat, my right ring finger became caught in the passenger-side window as it was closing. The window failed to stop or reverse upon encountering my finger, which is a critical safety function designed to prevent exactly this type of injury. Instead, the window continued to close with full force, crushing my finger and holding it trapped. The pressure was so severe that it ripped my nail and nail bed out and caused a displaced fracture.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

My W213 Mercedes Benz E300 just like all other Mercedes is have a “Crankcase” issue, it failed the engine keep revving but, not catching speed. I’ve seen multiple Mercedes is having that issues and it’s very common. My vehicle computer communication system failed to communicate with the key sometimes won’t start and will run out of power overnight mainly happen during winter times and when it rains.

I DROVE IN AND PARKED BEHIND A CHILD CARE CENTER. I WAS STOPPED AND SUDDENLY THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD CRASHING THROUGH A WOOD FENCE AND WAS ONLY STOPPED BY SOME PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT. BREAKING DID NOT STOP IT.
