I was parked for a few minutes and I suddenly noticed a strong oder coming into my vehicle. I could not pinpoint what the smell was, but I knew that whatever was coming into the SUV was not safe. My screen started flashing warnings "Service Required: Do Not Drive" “Do Not Shift Gears”. After the warning, white smoke started to roll out from under the hood and into the vehicle. I immediately ran back to get my baby out of her car seat and to safety. I was at my local YMCA and staff ran out to I assist me and had a fire extinguisher. YMCA called…

The instrument panel behind the steering wheel has gone totally dark. This issue happened about a month ago but resolved itself somehow. Issue happened again and will not correct itself. Took vehicle to dealer and they could not resolve issue with software update. Upon researching the MBWorld.org user forum I noticed this may be a wide spread issue. With a dark/blank instrument panel you cannot know your speed, fuel level, or what gear you have placed the car in. My technician even indicated he has seen this issue on several 2025 MB models.

I have had numerous incidents since I purchased the vehicle in April of 2023. The first was when it would not start. It continuously ran through all of the error messages and simply refused to start. This happened numerous times, leaving me stranded for 20 minutes or longer. Then, the safety features would randomly stop functioning, and I would receive error messages stating that they were disabled. The check engine light would appear on the dashboard, and it continues to do so, even though I am told there is nothing wrong with the engine. My M…

The rear lift gate closes unexpectedly when standing behind the vehicle and loading or unloading the cargo area. Vehicle experiences a severe, abrupt jerk/jolt during deceleration around the 5th-to-4th gear downshift. The issue occurs consistently when slowing down. Dealership verified the condition on Repair Order #1906625 and confirmed a transmission flaw. Dealer stated software is required from the manufacturer with no ETA for release. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

The loaner car the dealership provided which is also 2026 GLC300 SUV also closes on me in the trunk. When the trunk shuts by tself while part of my upper bo…
