This 2023 GLC, a newly redesigned model, has a number of issues. The two most severe are the adaptive speed limit and the lane keeping assist. I had to disable the traffic sign recognition feature because I was on I-95 in Maryland where the posted speed limit was 65. The car abruptly slowed me down to 35 because it saw an exit sign speed limit but I was not on the exit. I was lucky the car behind me didn't hit me. A warning would be good but to brake the vehicle for a speed limit sign seems problematic. The more serious issue is the lane …

Entire front right headlight assembly and module failed with no headlight, turn signal, park light etc. There is no visible external damage to the assembly although there is some moisture inside assembly. From internet search, it appears that this is a very common failure. Cost is over $2500 for replacement from local mechanics and over $3300 from Mercedes dealerships with little to no warranty for future failures either.

Vehicle left/front headlight has water condensation and entire headlight doesn't work. Its pretty much not drivable. I brought the vehicle to a manufacturer dealership and they claim that the failure of the headlight is due to physical impact to the exterior of head light. I tried many times to restart the car, Waited over one hour and 40 minutes it finally started again, the engine warning light was still on until the second day morning, and I was able to take pics as evident. 1. The 2023 GLC300 would not start. The internal alarms kept going off, the push-start/stop would not respond. The vehicle was acting like it was being stolen, this lasted for 75 to 80 minutes. 1 ) the car would not start several times. every error message scanned across the screen and i had to leave the car and lock it and wait 10-15 minutes and then it would start. if i had any type of emergency and this happened, it would be detrimental. the first time this happened was the day i got the car with less than 10 miles on it. this issue was recreated by service and a software update was performed and it hasn’t happened since. 2 ) all computers / screens turned off while the car was in drive and in motion. horrifying and so dangerou…

This vehicle has now had three episodes where warning lights came on for no apparent reason. There have been two episodes of "Check Engine Light" coming on, the first with less than 1000 miles on the vehicle. It was driven to the dealer and they checked finding no problems and said not to worry about it. The second about two months later with an indication of "Excessive engine Temperature", but the engine was cold and just started, the fan was running very fast, but otherwise the vehicle was operable. Again, the dealer could find no problem…
