FLUID WAS DISCOVERED LEAKING FROM THE TRANSFER CASE ON MY 1995 3000GT SPYDER VR-4 ON JUNE 19 2006. I FOUND A RECALL FOR THIS ON AUTOMOTIVE.COM. I OWN A 1995 MITSUBISHI 3000GT SPYDER VR4, AND I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE SEAT BELTS FAILING TO RETRACT. THE SEAT BELT HAS TOO MUCH SLACK, AND DOES NOT RETRACT WHEN EITHER BUCKLED OR NOT BUCKLED. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ATTENDED TO. OUR CARS ARE TOO OLD TO RECEIVE THE FACTORY WARRANTY, SO THERE IS A NEED FOR A RECALL SO THAT WE CAN RECEIVED NEW PARTS. IF FIXED THIS COULD SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE, IF UNATTENDED TO, THIS COULD SERIOUSLY INJURE SOMEONE, BUT NOT RESTRAINING THE OCCUPANTS IF A COLLISION OCCURS. *JB

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
