TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 MONACO MONARCH. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT DETECTED THAT THE BRAKES WERE OVERHEATING. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AND REAR WHEELS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE BRAKE AND CALIPERS WERE REPLACED EIGHT TIMES. THE CONTACT HAS ALL OF THE REPAIR ORDERS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,200 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,865. UPDATED 03-04-08 *BF THE FRONT WHEEL SEAL WAS LEAKING.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 MONACO COACH MONARCH MOTOR HOME. HE STATED IN 2007 HIS BRAKE CALIPER FAILED WHICH CAUSED THE INTERLOCK BRAKES CENSOR TO MELT. HE TOOK HIS VEHICLE TO A DEALER. HE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FROM WORKHORSE ON THE BRAKE CALIPER FOR THE MOTOR HOME. HE CONTACTED WORKHORSE WHICH IS THE MANUFACTURE OF THE BRAKES FOR A REIMBURSEMENT BUT WAS DENIED. THE MANUFACTURE WORKHORSE WROTE HIM INDICATING THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE HIM FOR THE REPAIR THAT WAS MADE IN 2007. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,256. BL

THE DEALER ORIGINALLY STATED THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER OF 2007; HOWEVER, AS OF DECEMBER 3, 2007, THEY STATED THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH OF 2008. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SELL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE RECALLED PART WAS UNAVAILABLE AND SHE FELT THAT THE WAIT TIME FOR THE REMEDY WAS EXCESSIVE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 MONACO MONARCH. THE CONTACT RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE NUMBER 05S28 IN AUGUST OF 2007, WHICH INFORMED HIM THAT THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. HE RECEIVED A SECOND RECALL NOTICE IN OCTOBER THAT ADVISED HIM TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE SPEED CONTROL DISCONNECTED BECAUSE THE PARTS WERE STILL UNAVAILABLE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
