The contact owns a 2025 Ram 3500 hauling a 2025 Nationcraft 8.5x24 TA5 cargo trailer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, but the cargo trailer's electric brakes failed to activate to slow the cargo trailer immediately, resulting in a longer stopping distance. The contact drove to the residence and parked the cargo trailer. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the cargo trailer electric brakes would activate after 100 miles; however, after driving 280 mi…
The electric brakes on this trailer have been inoperative/poorly working. The trailer was purchased 12/26/2026 and the problem was discovered within one week. The selling dealer states no warranty on brakes, the manufacturer, NationCraft confirms warranty 1/8/2026. The trailer has been attempted to be repaired on two different visits to very minor improvement. The brakes do not provide the proper force to slow the trailer when empty or loaded. The trailer is unable to be safely towed due to this defect. The manufacturer has been unresponsive in…
Was removing a tractor from the trailer, while backing down the ramp, the welds on the ramp failed suddenly, causing the ramp to drop to the ground, while the tractor was still partly in the trailer. The impact caused the tractor windshield to shatter and cause minor injuries to the operator (cuts on exposed skin). Upon inspection, it was found that the welds for the ramp were inadequate in both quality and number. Most of the welds had insufficient penetration, and there was minimal stitch welds across the width of the frame. The weight …

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
