Owner report 11528380 · 2023-06-22 (June 22, 2023)

I was driving in the right hand lane on Interstate 95 with my cruise control on. My speed was approximately 65 mph. In the distance I could see a tow truck stopped in the breakdown lane with it's warning lights flashing. I proceeded to move into the next lane to my left. All of a sudden my vehicle began to brake hard by itself and a message that included "25 mph" began flashing on my dash in the middle. I had to make a split-second decision to put my floor on the accelerator pedal and press to maintain a safe speed since cars in front of and be…

Owner report 11542522 · 2023-09-04 (September 4, 2023)

Easily repeatable issue. When at highway speeds adaptive cruise control detects a slower vehicle in my lane. My Frontier slows as expected. When the necessary lane change is made, my engine will suddenly accelerate rapidly until it reaches about 6000 rpms. This also will occur when climbing a moderately steep hill in either cruise mode. This is a safety hazard in that it is extremely distracting, because you have to divert your attention to cancel the out-of-control cruise control manually with the cancel button or brake pedal. I have c…

We have a fleet of 2023-2025 Nissan Frontiers. Starting in December of 2024 we began having problems with the vehicles electrical system going wild and shutting the trucks down. It causes all of the lights to come on and the truck to stall and not restart, We did not realize that we had a problem until it happened to multiple vehicles over the last several months. A few of them were brought to the dealership where we were told they could not find any problems and just replaced the batteries. So, when some of the others did it, we just repla…

The truck jerks while shifting between 0 and 30 mph. This also happens when stopping at stop signs and lights or even just slowing down. I fear that the jerky shifting could cause significant internal damage to the transmission, more specifically teeth breaking off the gears. The power driver seat moves by itself when driving and after it is shut off. I always have to move the seat and adjust when I get in to drive. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS INJURED, BUT WE BOTH GOT QUITE A SCARE DUE TO THE NOISE AND LACK OF VISIBILITY. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END NOR WERE WE AT ANY DEGREE OF ANGLE. YES IT WAS BUMPY BUT WHEN YOU PAY FOR A VEHICLE THAT STATES CLEARLY OFF ROAD ON THE SIDE YOU EXPECT IT HAS THE SUSPENSION TO SUPPORT THE RIDE. transmission issues: transmission is jerking, trying to find gears. between 0mph and 30mph. also when stopping at stop sign and lights. truck only has 2,200 miles on it. Very unhappy and feel unsafe driving this truck. Also the power driver seat moves by itself when driving. Always have to move the seat and adjust when driving. When I get back into the truck the seat is not in the same position. Very unsafe while driving this truck.

Yes it’s available for inspection. Sudden increase in speed under certain condition could be a safety issue. This problem has been identified by another owner and taken to Nissan (Apple) York, PA. The problem happened after leaving the Nissan lot on the way home, less than 200 miles. During use of intelligence cruse control, set at 70 mph, came up on a vehicle doing 60 mph and the system slowed my vehicle down to 60 mph, when I was able to move into the passing lane my vehicle down shifted hard going to 6,000 rpm’s, my truck surged in mph until…

To test, I have set the seat to the position I use before I get out to see if it adjusts on its own after I shut the truck off…

On 1/27/26, at or about 1:00 AM driving NB on Hwy 99,south of Bakersfield, Ca.i encountered dense fog with visibility down to zero. While driving cautiously my steering wheel became locked up and I had no control of steering and the vehicle kept slowly going forward. I finally managed to stop vehicle as traffic had come to a stop. The driver in vehicle in front of me yelled out what’s wrong with your truck. I yelled back that my steering wheel locked up on me and had no way to turn. The driver informed me to turn the vehicle off and then to tur…

I have c…
