Owner report 11539769 · 2023-08-21 (August 21, 2023)

I currently have a 2023 Nissan Titan Pro-4X 4WD that intermittently when slowing to a stop between the speeds of 0-7mph it will, at times, feel as though the transmission is dropping from 3rd gear to 1st gear without cycling into 2nd gear properly creating almost a bumping effect to where it feels like you are almost being bumped from behind. Like being rear-ended at a very slow speed. There is a difference in slowing to a stop and it cycles properly which this truck will do the majority of the time and then when it does this hard skipping of …

Owner report 11627194 · 2024-11-25 (November 25, 2024)

Transmission shifting is abrasive particularly when coming to a stop. Vehicle lurches forward when transmission shifts from 2nd to 1st. Loss of control imminent when traveling on slick surfaces. I have brought this to the attention of my local dealership and was told there are no warning lights illuminated so the transmission is working correctly. They also stated that this is a common complaint with no remedy?

When the contact depressed the accelerator pedal, the vehicle accelerated independently and rear-ended the vehicle in front, where it came to a stop. The vehicle the contact rear-ended was pushed into the vehicle in front, and that vehicle was pushed into the vehicle in front of it. No warning lights were illuminated. The truck is prone to harsh transmission shifting. It is abrupt and harsh enough when coming to a stop to create a safety issue. If one is not hard on the brakes at the time, the truck will lurch forward with the last downshifts, with the potential to strike pedestrians or the car in front. My Titan has about 800 miles, and this behavior has been going on since I bought it recently. I will list today's date below since a date is required.

When coming to a stop(rolling stop) the truck will jerk ROUGH. Which causes the truck to lunge forward. Multiple times have I almost hit the car in front of me causing an accident. Took vehicle to Nissan 2 times. First time I was informed. “ It’s the characteristics of the truck” which blew my mind. Second time I took it the mechanic was able to replicate the issue. It’s now been 2 weeks since the second visit and nothing has been done. A brand new truck. And already with problems with 4,800 miles ONLY!!

VERY SOON AFTER I PURCHASED THE TITAN TRUCK, RANDOMLY, WHILE THE CAR SITS IDLE OR WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK ANYWHERE (I.E. ON CITY STREETS, ON THE HIGHWAY, IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD) THE TRUCK PRODUCES A STRONG SCENT OF DIESEL MIXTURE/EXHAUST FUMES IN THE CABIN OF THE TRUCK. THE FUMES ARE SO STRONG IT MAKES ME DIZZY. The parking brake has never been sufficient to prevent the vehicle from rolling slightly even after the vehicle has been placed in park. There is no audible alarm if you back up and the parking brake is set. The engine torque allows you to drive forward and reverse with ease even with the brake set, and a small dash light is the only indication that the brake is still set. When asking the dealership to adjust the brake and fix the issue they require the customer to pay for the service despite the brake being faulty from manufacture.

The truck was parked on hill and as I unlocked it, it rolled down 2 blocks. Hit a brick wall and finally went into a yard and hit a parked car. This is the second time this truck has rolled down. First time, I was able to catch it but this time I couldn’t. It was horrific to witness.

I have a 2023 Nissan Titan XD 4x4. Recently I have experienced a major malfunction with the automatic braking system. While driving the vehicle I have experienced several times that the front left wheel is locking up briefly and pulling me sharply to the left. I have almost slid into other vehicles and guardrails during this malfunction. I immediately brought it to my local Nissan dealer,(Coggin Nissan) in Jacksonville Fl. and reported the problem on three occasions. They offered no findings or solutions to correct the problem. They take it fo…
