Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

15V487000 · Power Train:Axle Assembly

Reported: 2015-08-05 (August 5, 2015) · Model years: 2015

Forest River, Inc.(Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2015 Palomino PaloMini vehicles manufactured November 14, 2014, to July 23, 2015. The cambers in the axle tubes may have been installed upside down. This can cause the tube to appear bent downward towards the ground, when the bend should be pointing upwards to the unit floor.

Consequence: A mispositioned camber may come in contact with a tire, a spindle or other components leading to fracture or failure, and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and reposition any mispositioned cambers, free of charge. The recall began on August 21, 2015. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-269-432-3246. Forest River's number for this recall is 400-07282015-0065.

Reported: 2018-01-25 (January 25, 2018) · Model years: 2018

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018 Palomino PaloMini recreational trailers. The mounting bracket for the single liquid propane (LP) bottle may break allowing the LP bottle to detach from the vehicle.

Consequence: If the LP bottle detaches from the vehicle, there is an increased risk of injury or crash.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a new LP bottle ring, free of charge. The recall began on March 1, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-269-432-3246. Forest River's number for this recall is 400-0612.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
