TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 POLARIS RANGER RZR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING FUEL WAS LEAKING OUT OF THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE WELDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AFTER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MECHANIC VERIFIED THAT THE GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 3,000.
IT IS VERY DANGERS CAUSE IT WILL START IN GEAR. I FEEL THAT THIS COULD BE SOMETHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT CAUSE I ALMOST HAD A CRASH. THEY SELL ALOT OF THEM AND NEED TO LOOK AT THAT. *TR
POOR DESIGN OF FUEL TANK/FUEL PUMP CONNECTION WILL CAUSE FUEL LEAK, ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. CONSEQUENCE - POSSIBLE FUEL FIRE, EXPLOSION! FUEL TANK HAS BRASS INSERTS IN BLIND HOLES TO ACCOMMODATE FASTENING OF FUEL PUMP WITH O-RING SEAL BETWEEN FUEL PUMP AND FUEL TANK. GOOD IDEA BUT VERY BAD AND DANGEROUS DESIGN. THESE BRASS INSERTS WILL LOOSEN IN BLIND HOLE OF FUEL TANK AND CAUSE A LEAK DUE TO LACK OF COMPRESSION OF O-RING. DON'T KNOW EXACT REASON FOR LOOSENING, POSSIBLY EXPANSION/CONTRACTION FROM TEMPERATURE CHANGES, LOW TO HIGH ELEVATION CHANGE…
WHILE RIDING AS A PASSENGER IN UTV SIDE BY SIDE, THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT CAME UNLATCHED. I IMMEDIATELY EMAILED POLARIS CORPORATE TO LET THEM KNOW AS WE WERE IN MOTION AT HIGH SPEED. EMAIL RESPONSE SAID NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE! SINCE THIS INCIDENT THE DRIVER SIDE HAS DONE THE EXACT SAME THING AT LEAST 4 TIMES. BOTH SEATBELT LATCHES ARE UNSAFE. I HAVE A SAVED COPY OF THE CORRESPONDENCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RANGER POLARIS RZR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 12 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A POPPING SOUND UNDERNEATH THE FRAME. THE CONTACT WAS A MECHANIC AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE SHOCK FRACTURED. THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE SHOCK WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,400. *TR

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
