4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
14V771000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine
Reported: 2014-12-03 (December 3, 2014) · Model years: 2009, 2010, 2011
Prevost Cars, Inc.(Prevost) is recalling certain model year 2009-2011 XL2, XL2 Shells, X3 Shell Converted Coaches, and X3 motorcoaches manufactured January 1, 2009, to December 31, 2011, and equipped with an automatic fire suppression system (AFSS) pressure tank in the engine compartment. The tank's pressure relief valve may not withstand the temperatures in the engine compartment, resulting in the venting of the extinguishing agent.
Consequence: If the event of a fire, if the pressure tank has previously vented, the system would not be functional to help extinguish the fire, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will relocate the tank, free of charge. Owners were mailed interim notices on February 2, 2015. A second notice for owners to obtain the remedy was mailed on May 21, 2015. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-877-773-8678. Prevost's number for this recall is SR15-01.
NHTSA campaign record ↗13V015000 · Equipment
Reported: 2013-01-17 (January 17, 2013) · Model years: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
Prevost is recalling certain model year 2010-2013 H3 and X3 coaches and MTH XLII-45E coach shells manufactured between June 29, 2009, up to June 4, 2012, and equipped with an Automatic Fire Detection and Suppression System (AFSS). There is the possibility that the AFSS could unintentionally activate due to wear of the linear thermal detection cable.
Consequence: An activation of the AFSS causes the vehicle to come to an unplanned stop. This could increase the risk of a vehicle crash or personal injury.
Remedy: Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the linear thermal detector by adding a protective sheath, free of charge. The recall began in March 2013. Owners may contact Prevost at 1-418-883-2888 x 6558.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
