Reported: 2017-11-14 (November 14, 2017) · Model years: 2018
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018 Prime Time Fury recreational trailers. The information on the Federal Placard may be incorrect, stating that the vehicle is equipped with ST235/80R16E tires and 16X6.0JJ rims, however, the vehicle is actually equipped with ST225/75R15E tires and 15X6.0JJ rims. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims," and 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Consequence: The placards do not indicate the correct tire/rim combination which could lead to the installation of incorrect replacement tires, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install new corrected Federal Placards, free of charge. The recall began on December 8, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-862-1025. Forest River's number for this recall is 48-0575.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
