LEFT HOME FOR A WEEKEND TRIP TO BANDERA TEXAS WITH MY FIFTH WHEEL RV. CHECKED ALL TIRE PRESSURES PRIOR TO PULLING OUT TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE ALL AT MANFACTURE SPEC'S (80PSI) GOT APPROX. 40 MILES FROM HOME AND HAD A BLOW OUT ON THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. THIS WAS A REAL SURPRISE TO ME SINCE THE TIRES WERE BRAND NEW AND ONLY HAD LESS THAN 1500 MILES ON THEM. WHEN THE TIRE BLEW OUT IT CAUSED SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE SIDE OF THE RV. THESE TIRES APPEAR TO BE A VERY POOR QUALITY. I WAS TRAVELING WITH A FRIEND THAT HAS A NEW RV ALSO AND HAD A BLOW OUT …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
