My luck is I had a State Patrol few cars back and he help me to safety the area and wait the tow. My truck stays 2 months parked on at Dealer to fix. There is a recall for the trailer brake control and trailer wiring for light. I bought the truck to tow my 5th wheel trailer and have travel plans starting in march of this year.. ram has put a stop sale on 450k trucks because of this recall. I am writing to report an ongoing issue with my 2016 Ram 3500 (V6), related to Safety Recall V06 (NHTSA 19V-021) for the drag link, which was performed in 2020 before I purchased the vehicle two years ago. The recall "fix" involved welding the adjustable nuts on the steering linkage, rendering it non-adjustable. Since then, I have been unable to get a proper front-end alignment at any service shop. Multiple mechanics have refused to perform an alignment because the welded drag link cannot be adjusted, and they’ve stated it compromises the vehic…

humming from the hydroboost pump, actual issue is the high pressure steering line has a nylon tube inside the hose that breaks apart and moves throughout the system. Dodge had one revision of the hose on the early model years but this issue has gone unresolved. I am afraid if i cant get it fixed it may possibly cause the brakes or steering assistance to fail.

THIS IS A DIESEL POWERED TRUCK. TWICE THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CREATED BY THE HYDROBOOST UNIT HAS BLOWN METAL HOSES APART RESULTING IN COMPLETE AND SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING AND BRAKES. FORTUNATELY THE TRUCK WAS OPERATING AT VERY LOW SPEED. IF THIS HAD OCCURRED AT HIGHWAY SPEED, IT WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CRASH AND LIKELY DEATH. IN BOTH CASES, RAM REPLACED THE HOSE AND FLUID UNDER WARRAANTY, BUT HAS NOT ADDRESSED THE ROOT CAUSE, WHICH IS THAT THE HYDROBOOST UNIT IS DEFECTIVE.

This also makes putting into 4x4 impossible unless I turn off the truck, switch to 4x4, and start it before the sensor kicks off. I’m worried about the abs mainly. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CROSS MULTIPLE LANE DIVIDE HIGHWAY WHILE SYNCHRONIZING THE TIMING OF THE CROSSING I HAD TO LET UP AND THEN DEPRESS ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND GOT NO RESPONSE FROM THROTTLE... THE CLASSIC DEAD PEDAL RESPONSE. IT CAN BE AVOIDED BUT SOMEONE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE VEHICLE CAN GET SERIOUSLY HURT/KILLED BY NOT UNDERSTANDING THE DEAD PEDAL LAG AND THOSE SITUATIONS WHERE IT OCCURS... THIS MUST BE FIXED. *TR

My service abs light comes on and off, which makes cruise control inoperable and rear park sensors inoperable. This also makes putting into 4x4 impossible unless I turn off the truck, switch to 4x4, and start it before the sensor kicks off. I’m worried about the abs mainly. I contacted my dealer and they said it’s a common issue but the part is almost $1k and backordordered for months. How is this not a recall or safety issue?

Check engine light has gone on intermittently. Have had it checked with no reason for the code. No sign that it was the engine harness. Contacted dealership and they explained they couldn't look at it for 3 weeks. Brought it to another mechanic and replaced computer. a week later it damaged that computer. I called dealership and they again advised there wad no way to have it towed in for at least 3 weeks. Only 1 diesel mechanic present. Had diagnostics run again and was diagnosed as engine wiring harness. Engine wire harness has damaged 5 compu…

SHAFT ON WATER PUMP SHEARED CAUSING WATER PUMP TO FAIL AND SERPENTINE BELT TO COME OFF. VEHICLE BEING DRIVEN ON FREEWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. SERPENTINE BELT FAILURE RESULTS IN LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND VACUUM TO POWER BRAKES. THIS IN TURN CAUSES DIFFICULTY IN VEHICLE CONTROL.

I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2013 RAM LARAMIE LONGHORN 1 TON 4X4 TRUCK WITH THE AISIN TRANSMISSION IN JULY 2013. THE TRUCK WOULD BUCK/JERK . IT WENT BACK TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A "SOFTWARE UPDATE," THAT MIGHT FIX THE PROBLEM. AFTER NUMEROUS UPDATES & NO FIX, THE DEALER CONSULTED W/ THE ENGINEERS AT RAM, IN WHICH IT WAS ADVISED FOR THE DEALER TO TRY & REPLACE THE TORQ CONVERTER. THE TORQ CONVERTER DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE TRUCK WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I HIRED A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY & CHRYSLER BOUGHT THE T…

MY HUSBAND WAS STOPPED AT A SIGNAL LIGHT AND THE TRUCK LURCHED FORWARD HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT. INSURANCE COMPANY HAD AN EXPERT CHECK THE TRUCK AND WE WERE ADVISED BY HIM NOT TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE. CHRYSLER HAD THEIR EXPERT EXAMINE IT ON 8/4/2015. I WAS INFORMED ON THAT DATE THAT HE AND THE DEALERSHIP WERE OUT OF THE LOOP AND I HAD TO SPEAK WITH CHRYSLER. THEY WILL NOT RETURN ANY OF MY HONE CALLS.
