ON CERTAIN TRANSFER TRAILER CHASSIS, THE DRAWBAR HINGE ASSEMBLIES AT THE FRONT OF THE TURNTABLE MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY ASSEMBLED OR IMPROPERLY TIGHTENED DURING ASSEMBLY.
Consequence: THIS SITUATION MAY ALLOW THE BOLT TO BACK OUT OF THE TAPERED HINGE, ALLOWING THE PIN TO WORK OUT OF THE HINGE ASSEMBLY, COMPROMISING THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE TRAILER DRAWBAR AND THE TRAILER, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: INSPECTION OF THE TRAILERS AND REPLACEMENT AND/OR TIGHTENING OF THE BOLT IN THE DRAWBAR HINGE ASSEMBLIES WILL BE PERFORMED. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 14, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT RELIANCE AT 1-800-493-8560.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 RELIANCE TRANSFER TRAILER CHASSIS (KEIFER BUILT HORSE TRAILER). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BOLTS ON THE HORSE TRAILER WERE LOOSE AND DETACHED FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE TRAILER. THE DIVIDERS BETWEEN EACH HORSE WERE MADE OF PLASTIC AND HAVE PULLED OUT OF THE TRAILER WALL. EXPOSED BOLTS FROM THE FAILURE HAVE CAUSED INJURY TO A HORSE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 RELIANCE TRANSFER TRAILER CHASSIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRAME OF THE TRAILER CONSTANTLY CRACKED. THE FAILURE HAD BEEN REPAIRED FIVE TIMES. HE ALSO STATED THAT THE HITCH BRAKE FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE TRAILER WAS REPAIRED, YET THE FAILURE PERSISTS. NO OTHER VEHICLE INFORMATION WAS APPLICABLE.
Darker cells indicate a larger share of submitted complaints. Components overlap. This measures complaint composition, not failure probability.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
