Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
17V334000 · Equipment | Structure
Reported: 2017-05-23 (May 23, 2017) · Model years: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
REV Ambulance Group Orlando, Inc. (REV) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Road Rescue Type I, 2013-2016 Road Rescue Type III, and 2014-2017 Road Rescue Type IX emergency vehicles equipped with a 2" subfloor. The bolts used to install the cot securing system to the floor may be too short.
Consequence: In the event of a crash, the cot may not remain secured, possibly causing injury to the vehicle occupants.
Remedy: REV will notify owners, and dealers will provide the correct replacement hardware for the affected units, free of charge. The recall began on July 20, 2017. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-628-8178.
NHTSA campaign record ↗16V718000 · Seats
Reported: 2016-10-07 (October 7, 2016) · Model years: 2016, 2017
REV Ambulance Group Orlando, INC (REV) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Marque Type III, Road Rescue Type I, Road Rescue Type III, Wheeled Coach Type I, Wheeled Coach Type III, Frontline Type I, Frontline Type III, McCoy Miller Type I, and McCoy Miller Type III ambulances manufactured January 1, 2016, to September 30, 2016. Due to a problem with the seat tracks, the attendant seat(s) on the affected vehicles may unexpectedly move in a rapid deceleration event such as a crash.
Consequence: In the event of a crash, the seat may move forward at a high rate of speed, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant.
Remedy: REV will notify owners, and dealers will replace the seat tracks, free of charge. The recall began on November 20, 2016. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-628-8178.
NHTSA campaign record ↗18V602000 · Exterior Lighting:Brake Lights
Reported: 2018-09-08 (September 8, 2018) · Model years: 2017, 2018
REV Ambulance Group Orland, Inc. (REV) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Road Rescue, Marque, Wheeled Coach, Frontline, and McCoy Miller Type I and Type III ambulances, equipped with Whelen accessory brake lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: If the brake lights incorrectly illuminate, it can confuse other drivers, possibly increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: REV will notify owners, and Whelen will replace the brake lights, free of charge. The recall began October 19, 2018. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-855-661-9232.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2017: 0 complaints · 2018: 0 complaints

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2017 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2018 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
