Reported: 2014-08-08 (August 8, 2014) · Model years: 2011, 2012
All Wheel Drive Equipment Mfg., Inc. (All Wheel) is recalling certain 2011-2012 Ford F-550 Super Duty chassis with a 6.8L gasoline engine, modified by All Wheel and equipped with certain Muncie Power Products PTO Assemblies. In the affected vehicles, oil may leak from the PTO pressure switch onto a thermal blanket covering the exhaust.
Consequence: The leaking oil may soak into the thermal blanket covering the exhaust, which when combined with heat from exhaust, may result in an increased risk of fire.
Remedy: All Wheel has notified the affected owners, and dealers will install a new pressure switch kit that moves the switch away from the exhaust system, free of charge. Owners were notified on June 10, 2014 by certified mail. Owners may contact All Wheel customer service at 1-800-311-4778.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2012: 0 complaints · 2013: 0 complaints

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2012 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2013 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
