JUST PURCHASED MOTORCYCLE, HAD OVER 15 INCIDENTS WHERE THE TRANSMISSION EITHER POPPED OUT OF 2ND GEAR WHILE IN MOTION WHICH HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH AND ALSO HAD THE SAME BIKE JUMP INTO NEUTRAL BETWEEN 3RD/4TH GEAR AND 4TH/5TH GEAR. THIS IS WAY TOO SCARY ON A MOTORCYCLE. CONTACTED DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE DAMAGE UNLESS SUZUKI GETS INVOLVED STATING IT'S A MANUFACTURER ERROR. I ALWAYS OWNED SUZUKI, THIS IS THE FIRST PROBLEM EVER. I AM VERY SCARED TO RIDE THIS MOTORCYCLE NOW AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO HAV…

CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE CAM CHAIN TENSIONER. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER INQUIRING ABOUT THE RECALL AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE CAM CHAIN TENSIONER AND IF IT FAILS IT COULD CAUSE EXTENSIVE ENGINE DAMAGE. COSNUMER HAD TO PARK THE VEHICLE UNTIL PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AND SOME TIME HAD PASSED THE MOTOR BEGAN MAKING EXCESSIVE NOISE UPON DECELERATION. CONSUMER NO LONGER HAS VEHICLE. *JG

FRAME BRACKET THAT CLAMPS AROUND THE ENGINE MOUNT IS MISSING THE PINCH BOLT THAT HOLDS THE RIGHT SIDE SECURED. SUZUKI KNOWS THE BOLT COMES OUT, BUT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE STEEL BOLT GOES VERTICAL INTO THE ALUMINUM FRAME FROM THE GROUND. THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY JUST EXPIRED & SUZUKI DOESN'T BACK UP THERE PRODUCT WHEN THEY KNOW ABOUT THERE PROBLEMS. THE RADIATOR CAP WAS DEFECTIVE & SUZUKI WOULDN'T VOUGE FOR IT. THE REAR TIRE SPUN OUT ON ME, THAT'S HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. COOLANT ON THE REAR TIRE!

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
