Year-by-year records
Recall history
4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
16V154000 · Suspension:Front:Springs:Air Suspension:Springs/Bags
Reported: 2016-03-16 (March 16, 2016) · Model years: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 C5000, C6000, General 80, RMX, TM100, and TM125 aerial devices, and digger derrick lifts installed on trucks manufactured August 4, 2015, to February 16, 2016. The suspension circuit can inflate the suspension air bags on the affected vehicles if the Master/PTO switch or ignition is turned off in the cab while the boom is in the raised position. This can cause the frame to rise, lifting the outriggers from the ground.
Consequence: If the outrigger lifts off the ground, causing instability of the truck, it can increase the risk of injury to the operator.
Remedy: Terex will notify owners, and dealers will install a second outrigger enable relay, free of charge. The recall began on April 29, 2016. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-982-8975. Terex's number for this recall is SN636.
NHTSA campaign record ↗18V520000 · Equipment
Reported: 2018-08-07 (August 7, 2018) · Model years: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018
Terex south Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Terex C4000, C5000, C6000, and General digger derricks. The welds between the coupler and hex shaft may be undersized, causing them to fail and the auger to fall unexpectedly.
Consequence: If the auger falls, it can increase the risk of injury to the user or bystanders.
Remedy: Terex will notify owners, and dealers will either repair the weld or replace the affected component, free of charge. The recall began October 3, 2018. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN665.
NHTSA campaign record ↗26V167000 · Equipment
Reported: 2026-03-19 (March 19, 2026) · Model years: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2019-2026 General 65, General 80, General 95, C4000, C5000, and C6000 digger utility trucks equipped with pole guides. An insufficient weld on the plate weldment may crack, causing the retaining pin to separate.
Consequence: Without a retaining pin, the pole guide arm may fall, increasing the risk of injury to people around the truck.
Remedy: Owners will inspect the plate weldment for any cracks or abnormal welds. Dealers or owners will replace the plate weldment as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2026. Owners may contact Terex's customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN737.
NHTSA campaign record ↗22V893000 · Equipment:Mechanical:Boom/Crane/Ladder
Reported: 2022-12-02 (December 2, 2022) · Model years: 2022
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2022 C4000, C5000, C6000, C7000, General, and Trans TL vehicles. A seam in the boom structure may have been improperly welded, causing the weld to crack.
Consequence: A cracked weld may lead to the boom failing, increasing the risk of an injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace or repair the boom, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 8, 2023. Owners may contact Terex's customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN715.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
