When driving with cruise control on and encounter a slight side wind or even a grade change in road surface where the coach is not perfectly level the cruise will quit and hill decent light comes on, will not rest until it is shut off for 10 min or so. It is a issue with steering angle sensor, I can be driving perfectly straight but if the steering wheel is turned off center for more than a half mile or so even though going straight , the cruise will quit. it can happen multiple times in a 300 mile trip, may not even work for the whole trip. or…

A recall had been done and thought to be corrected earlier this year, but we just heard a pop as we were pulling into our driveway and I immediately lost power steering and brakes stopped working seconds later. The connection to the Dot 4 tank came undone and all the fluid leaked out. If this had happened while we were driving down the highway I hate to think what could have happened. WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH WE HAD A BLOWOUT ON THE INSIDE RIGHT REAR TIRE. WE REMOVED TO SPARE TIRE, JACKED UP THE REAR AXLE AND REMOVED TO RIGHT REAR WHEELS. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO INSTALL THE SPARE TIRE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE WRONG SIZE WHEEL WAS SUPPLIED BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THAT THE SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL COULD NOT BE USED. THIS CAUSED US TO BE STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF A HIGHWAY FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 HOURS.

The vehicle I rented , a Thor RV based on a Ford E350 , was handed over with a missing lug nut on one wheel and a dangerously loose lug nut on the opposite rear wheel. The component that failed is part of the wheel fastener system (lugs/nuts/bolts). It is not available for inspection now, as the vehicle has since been returned to the rental company. This situation posed a serious safety risk , had the remaining nuts failed while driving, the wheel could have detached entirely, potentially leading to a crash or injury. I noticed the issue durin…

After purchasing used Thor Four Winds 31Y with 1095 miles on the odometer from Albany Rv, Albany NY in April 2021, the air bag system began to stay constantly on (illuminated). The dealer refused to address the issue. I had the air bag system repaired at Albany Light Truck and Car Repair, Albany NY at a cost of $1734.05. According to Albany Light Truck and Car Repair the cause of the problem was improper installation of the swivel front seats that pitched the seat sensor between the seat base and the vehicle floor cutout. Seats were rewired in…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

I am fearful to drive this RV in the future if the recall was fixed and it failed anyway. AAA will be towing the RV to the closest Ford Dealership today for repai…
