Owner report 11478244 · 2022-08-08 (August 8, 2022)

Vehicle's cruise control got stuck and would not turn off by the brake, the cruise control off button. The only way it would shut off is by swtitching the car into “B-(Low Gear/Engine Braking). Was cruising at 70 mph, and then the cruise control kept speeding the vehicle up to 100 mph, until I switched it into the “B”-(Low Gear/Engine Braking). Now if I wasn’t familiar with this type of car this could have been a tragedy that could have taken place on August 01, 2022.

Owner report 11474059 · 2022-07-15 (July 15, 2022)

Rain water accumulates in the doors of a brand new car that is only 4 weeks old. The only official fix, according to Toyota and NTSA, is to remove the plugs at the bottom so the water can drain out every time it rains. This is not a fix. The water should not be accumulating in the door at all. Over time, the repeated water accumulation will cause mold, mildew, rust and damage the electrical system. This is absolutely absurd.

There is a high pitch electrical whine coming from the fan blower (right side by the glove compartment) noise causes pain to my right ear after hearing it consistently which I believe will become a health problem. Vehicle has had blower replaced by Toyota dealer with no fix. There are numerous complaints found on Toyota forums describing this exact issue and nothing has been done to rectify this issue.

I drove .01 miles and stopped at the entrance gate. My windows were dirty, so I used my wiper lever to spray washer fluid on the windows. I pulled out onto traffic after cleaning the window. Due to the space between the wiper control and the manual paddle shift lever ( I think) The lever was hit by my hand ( I think)? or it was a malfunction? so when I pulled out into traffic I was not in any gear and could not accelerate , the car acted like a slipped transmission. Owner report 11669564 · 2025-06-26 (June 26, 2025)

Toyota defectively designed and/or manufactured coolant bypass valves ("the Defect") that prematurely fail. When the Defect manifests, coolant leaks out of the closed-loop coolant system. This adversely impacts the ability of the coolant system to properly regulate the temperature of the engine, and can lead to engine overheating, stalling, increased emissions and catastrophic engine failure. In addition, the leaking coolant can leak into the surrounding engine components, including the electrical system, and damage those components. The leakin…

I currently am experiencing the early stages of the failure of the SECOND fuel pump that this car has. I experienced the same symptoms/problem (hesitation and stalling) a year or two ago with the stock fuel pump. I had the Toyota dealer that I purchased the car from in January of 2022 replace the fuel pump. I thought it was just a one-off situation. Now that the second pump is failing, I did some searching and saw that there was a recall for 2013-2020 Toyota Corollas for the very same problem. I think this fuel pump failure problem is like…

The leakin…

The leakin…

My engine stalled while driving. My low tire pressure light came on and an hour or so later I was turning left at a light. My left turn signal was on. Dealer said no codes and could not replicate. Only 18,000 miles on car. Huge safety issue!!!!!
