When driving off from a stop it seemed like my car was hesitating when pressing the gas. Has done this a few times now, the first time I was not sure if that happened or not. On occasion, the engine will lack power upon accelerating from a stop of slow speed resulting in a delay in power needed to accelerate. This creates a safety risk when accelerating from a stop or slow speed by opening up the risk of a collision when the car doesn't accelerate as needed. The car has been taken to the dealership but they say they cannot reproduce so they return it in the same condition. There are no warning lights that are presented to the driver.

When starting into traffic from a dead stop - stop sign, merging, traffic light - the car hesitates acceleration. It stumbles and shudders like it has run out of gas for h n it has not. This puts me in danger when pulling out into traffic since the car does not take off properly. The car has 16,151 miles on it and this issue has begun within the last 60 days. It has had no previous problems. I have not yet taken it to a dealer. There are no warning lights lit wh n this happens. The date below is the most recent.

My AC stopped working in my brand new 2024 Toyota Crown car (only 2000 miles on it). I took it to the dealer and they are telling me that somehow a small rock from the road somehow damaged my air condenser. I am seeing this is a problem others have on the Toyota forum. Why is the air condenser not protected from small debris? They are making me file an insurance claim instead of covering it under warranty and I find this absurd. I have not driven this car in gravel or off road. How do I go about having Toyota fix this issue, as how was I…

The Carplay connectivity of the infotainment system is unreliable. While driving, the map directions and/or phone calls unexpectedly drop out. When the Carplay connection terminates, it forces the driver to operate the touch screen in order to reestablish the connection. This is a dangerous distraction. Unfortunately, my Toyota dealer (Ken Ganley Toyota 1110 Clairton Blvd Pleasant Hills PA 15236) has examined my system multiple times and has not been able to correct this malfunction.

On September 16, 2024 at approximately 13:20 my mother was driving her 2023 Toyota Crown in the parking lot of the post office and she was slowing down to park in a parking spot when all of a sudden the vehicle lunged, surges, jerks ,speeds forward all on the cars own with no physical driver commands . The car races forward all on its own while she is slowly pulling into a parking spot jumps the curb and crashes into a brick wall. The CVT ( Continuous Variable Transmission ) Is the problem and quite sure.

Upon assessment of substantial amounts of wind noise emanating from driver’s door (while driving at 45mph or higher), I noticed that air is entering the cabin through the door (you can feel it coming out the inside door handle). Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Transmission Vehicle did not respond to acceleration when I turned onto a feeder street causing us to almost be hit Problem did not reproduce when I took it to dealership to be corrected. Please note that the 23 Highlander with this exact engine had this exact problem and I've attached TSB-0087-23 that Toyota developed for that particular vehicle. AGAIN, THIS TSB IS NOT FOR MY 23 CROWN HOWEVER, MY CROWN IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. Vehicle was inspected, 28 May 2024, invoice # 1780495 and service said "could not verify customer compla…

I have experienced several instances while driving of Hesitation/Non-Linear Acceleration from a stop. When light turns green, on occasion when I accelerate, the vehicle hesitates then lurches forward into traffic. Have also experienced this issue when waiting to make a turn - car hesitates then lurches forward. I have almost had an accident due to this issue. According to Toyota Crown internet forum, this is a common issue with the 2023 Crown Platinum and Toyota is not being helpful in dealing with this safety issue.

When driving the vehicle under normal load and conditions, after coming to a complete stop- then trying to accelerate to take a turn or move forward- the vehicle begins to proceed then suddenly stops moving or accelerating. Twice now I have almost been T Boned. Once when leaving my neighborhood and trying to proceed onto the main 45mph country road, most recently tried to turn left from a turning lane across 2 oncoming lanes of traffic. The car just sat there blocking the road for about 5 seconds despite having the gas pedal pressed. I do have …

Unable to select Drive when car is moving from the neutral position especially if going through automatic car wash . I've had to stop the car totally to be able to move the car from neutral to drive. I also had to put the car in Park at times from neutral to get the car to shift into drive. This is extremely stressful and sometimes dangerous if a car is behind me. Notified Toyota Corporate and plan to take to Toyota Service to help diagnose why this is happening. Also, car has a tendency to move forward when warming up in park and the engine is…

Notified Toyota Corp by customer service via phone. Issue with car jerking forward while in Park or in neutral , especially when cold and warming up. Car does not move more than an inch to two inches due to parking paw catching vehicle. Difficult electronic gear shift to operate. Issue with not being able to get car back into drive from neutral especially if on moving tracking car wash. Usually, I have to turn off car while vehicles in motion. This is very scary when another car is behind me. Last time the car wash had to come to a total…

I’ve noticed this a few months in from having new vehicle. Intermittent power Loss from a stop or merging into traffic from a stop. Very dangerous has happened in oncoming traffic. From a stopped position as you press on gas to go the vehicle like stutters or hiccups jerks like loss of power then proceeds to go. Happens daily. Taken to Visalia Toyota for check up and they state no error codes noted or cannot duplicate concern. Yet issue still occurs. Reported to Toyota number in manual and received a claim number.

Upon assessment of substantial amounts of wind noise emanating from driver’s door (while driving at 45mph or higher), I noticed that air is entering the cabin through the door (you can feel it coming out the inside door handle). The dealership has been unable to determine the cause of the Air Noise, but I now have a concern that noxious gases from adjacent vehicles while sitting in heavy traffic could seep into the cabin in the same manner. I did notice that the door seal is not connected to the vehicle for several inches (see pic). Not sure…
