Year-by-year records
Recall history
2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
04V288000 · Service Brakes, Air:Disc:Chamber
Reported: 2004-06-10 (June 10, 2004) · Model years: 2004, 2005
ON CERTAIN VAN TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A SPECIFIC BRAKE CHAMBER, THE CHAMBER HAS A PUSHROD LENGTH THAT IS SHORTER THAN RECOMMENDED.
Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN REDUCED BRAKING FORCE UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN EXTENSION COUPLING ON THE BRAKE CHAMBER PUSHROD TO LENGTHEN IT TO THE RECOMMENDED DIMENSION. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON JUNE 22, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT TRAILMOBILE AT 1-800-823-3181, EXT. 223.
NHTSA campaign record ↗08V660000 · Power Train:Axle Hubs
Reported: 2008-12-15 (December 15, 2008) · Model years: 2009
TRAILMOBILE IS RECALLING 27 MY 2009 TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH ARVINMERITOR AXLE ASSEMBLIES WITH SUSPECT WHEEL END STUDS. THE SUSPECT WHEEL END STUDS WERE IMPROPERLY TEMPERED, POTENTIALLY RENDERING THEM BRITTLE AND SUSCEPTIBLE TO FRACTURE. IF ONE WHEEL STUD FRACTURES, THE REMAINING WHEEL STUDS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY MORE LOAD. IF LEFT IN THIS CONDITION, THE REMAINING WHEEL STUDS MAY ALSO FRACTURE EVEN IF THEY ARE PROPERLY MANUFACTURED.
Consequence: FRACTURED WHEEL STUDS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy: TRAILMOBILE IS WORKING WITH ARVINMERITOR WHO WILL REPLACE ANY AFTERMARKET REPLACEMENT STUD FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ARVINMERITOR AT 1-248-435-8793 OR TRAILMOBILE AT 1-217-348-8181.

Darker cells indicate a larger share of submitted complaints. Components overlap. This measures complaint composition, not failure probability.
Failure mileage by component
Median and middle 50% of usable owner-reported mileages. Ranges require at least five records.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2005: 1 complaints · 2009: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |

| 2005 | 0 | 1 | 1 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2005 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| 2009 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
