Reported: 2016-03-11 (March 11, 2016) · Model years: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Amera-Lite cargo trailers manufactured November 2, 2005, to July 21, 2011; 2007-2013 Cargo Mate cargo trailers manufactured December 1, 2006, to February 27, 2013; 2005-2016 Continental Cargo cargo trailers manufactured January 27, 2005, to November 11, 2015; and 2007-2012 US Cargo cargo trailers manufactured January 30, 2007, to July 12, 2011. The tire pressure specification for the 5.30" x 12" Load Range C Tire is listed as 50 PSI instead of the correct tire pressure specification of 80 PSI. As a result, the subject vehicles have incorrectly stated Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal Placard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Consequence: Using the trailers to the loading specifications on the label while the tires are underinflated may result in sudden tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners and will provide Federal placard stickers with the correct PSI, GAWR, and GVWR, free of charge. The recall began on April 8, 2016. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-266-7539. Forest River's number for this campaign is 51-02292016-0141.

Reported: 2020-05-29 (May 29, 2020) · Model years: 2020, 2021
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Haulin, US Cargo, and US Cargo Trail N Sport cargo trailers. The safety chains are insufficient for the trailer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and may break if the trailer comes unhitched.
Consequence: If the trailer becomes unhitched from the tow-vehicle, the safety chains may break, leading to complete detachment and potential property damage, personal injury or a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and a dealer or service center will replace the safety chains, free of charge. The recall began June 15, 2020. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-848-1335. Forest River's number for this recall is 24-1167.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2020: 1 complaints · 2021: 0 complaints

| 2020 | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort

| 2020 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| 2021 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
