The vehicle intermittently fails to start or stop when using the Start/Stop push button. This is a critical safety concern. If the vehicle cannot be reliably started or stopped, and its ignition system operates unpredictably, it may fail during use, in traffic, or fail to respond in emergency scenarios. The issue appears electrical/software-related and is not resolved after multiple service attempts and over 45 days out of service.

The brakes failed on the car causing my vehicle to crash into my home. The airbags did not deploy. The vehicle is available for inspection and is currently at the dealership. Alfa Romeo has sent out a special investigations team to inspect the vehicle and has escalated the issue to their legal department. Due to the failure of the brakes, I could have killed myself or others. There were zero warning lights prior to the failure. The vehicle is located at Northside Imports in Spring, Texas.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
