My 2020 Audi S6 has been undriveable since September 27, 2024 due to a backordered recall part (Gateway Control Module). Audi has failed to provide a repair timeframe, making my car unusable for over five months. Audi has refused to provide a loaner vehicle despite the long delay. As of March 2025, there is no estimated time of arrival for the part, and Audi has not provided any alternative resolution. This recall renders the car inoperable, posing a serious financial and safety concern.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. THERE WAS A LOUD BANG AND I SAW AND FELT AIR AND DEBRIS COME IN THROUGH MY SUNROOF VISOR VENTS. WHEN I PULLED OVER AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR I SAW MY SUNROOF HAS EXPLODED. I SAY EXPLODE BECAUSE IT IS CLEARLY VISIBLE THAT THE SUNROOF IS BROKEN FROM THE INSIDE OUT. THERE WERE NO TRUCKS AROUND TO KICK UP DEBRIS AND IT WAS NOT HIT BY A ROCK. AUDI STILL CLAIMS NO FAULT EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE CONSUMER REPORTS ARTICLES AND RECALLS DONE ON OTHER MODELS. LUCKY FOR ME MY SUNROOF VISOR WAS CLOSED IF IT …

THIS WAS A LOW MILEAGE (9K) LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD PRISTINE CONDITION AUDI S6. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES AND THEN PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY WHERE IT WAS TURNED OFF. THE DRIVER SAT IN THE VEHICLE FOR 5 MINUTES WITH THE ENGINE OFF PRIOR TO EXITING THE VEHICLE. BETWEEN 5 TO 10 MINUTES AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE WE SMELLED SMOKE IN THE HOUSE. WE DISCOVERED THE VEHICLE HAD FLAME AND SMOKE EMANATING FROM UNDER ITS HOOD. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES AS WE WERE UNABLE TO DO SO WITH A GARDEN HOSE. THE ENTIRE FRONT O…

I took the vehicle to west Covina Audi to get the recall repaired. Inv # 793279. They claimed the recall was repaired. I request photos of the work performed and old parts. I was told that since it was a recall they have to ship the parts to Audi. When i was notified that my car was done. I asked for pictures. they send me pictures of another car. I checked all the hose clamps and markings from the factory. they are all untouched. Its a extensive repair and that was done in 15 minutes. Audi is commiting recall fraud.

My car sat overnight and the next afternoon I drove approx. 3 miles and got a warning to at the engine “coolant temperature too high: let engine run while vehicle is stationary”. I took the car to the local dealership who diagnosed it as “coolant migration” and quoted a repair cost of nearly $5200. The vehicle is 2022 with not even 26k miles and well maintained at the same dealership. I was informed it was a known issue but and they service manager would take the matter up with Audi corporate given the vehicle is 6 months out of warranty. Th…

I AM HAVING A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY CAR AND IT SEEMS LIKE AUDI OF AMERICA (AOA) DOES NOT SEEM TO REALLY CARE. IT ALL STARTED IN AUG 2015 AND A BUNCH OF FAULT CODES CAME ONE. THE SECOND TIME, I BELIEVE, WAS JAN 2016 AND I WAS DRIVING ON I-95 AND SUDDENLY ABOUT 5 FAULT CODES SHOWED UP WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 70MPH IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THE CAR'S STEERING STIFFENED UP AND I COULD NOT ACCELERATE. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS NEXT TO ME AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SHOULDER. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A MAJOR CATASTROPHE IF I WAS NOT ABLE…

While driving with my wife and kids, on the highway, in the rain a warning message was displayed. The warning stated: steering malfunction, please stop the vehicle!. At which point the power steering locked-up & the engine powered down. As a result, I was unable to steer the vehicle. Thankfully, I was able to “muscle” the car off the highway and onto a secondary roadway. Vehicle was towed. With the power steering locking-up and not being able to effectively steer the vehicle this is a HUGE safety issue and needs to be addressed with Audi. This …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
