Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
94V086000 · Suspension:Front:Wheel Bearing
Reported: 1994-05-03 (May 3, 1994)
THE WHEELBEARING LOCKNUT AND COTTER PIN WERE NOT INSTALLED ON THE FRONT AXLE HUBS. THE CAN CAUSE A GRADUAL INCREASE IN WHEEL SHIMMY.
Consequence: THIS CAN RESULT IN INCREASED DIFFICULTY IN STEERING AND, IF UNCORRECTED, SEPARATION OF THE WHEEL FROM THE AXLE.
Remedy: REPAIR KITS WILL BE FURNISHED TO OWNERS AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR LABOR AND MATERIALS WILL BE MADE.
NHTSA campaign record ↗94V089000 · Service Brakes, Air:Supply:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings
Reported: 1994-05-10 (May 10, 1994)
AIR BRAKE SUPPLY LINES ARE REVERSED AT THE BRAKE TREADLE VALVE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE MODULATED SPRING BRAKE FEATURE ON THE REAR AXLE BRAKE TO BE INOPERABLE. IN THE EVENT THE REAR BRAKE SUPPLY RESERVOIR WERE LOST, THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF BRAKES WITHOUT PROPER FUNCTION OF THE MODULATED SPRING BRAKE ACTION OF THE REAR BRAKE AXLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE.
Consequence: LOSS OF THE SECONDARY SPRING BRAKE FUNCTION COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT IF THE PRIMARY AIR BRAKES FAIL.
Remedy: VEHICLE OWNERS WILL BE INSTRUCTED TO SWAP SUPPLY LINES AT THE TREADLE VALVE TO OBTAIN THE CORRECT PLUMBING, AND WILL BE REIMBURSED FOR LABOR EXPENSES.
NHTSA campaign record ↗94V157000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Cooling System:Fan
Reported: 1994-08-24 (August 24, 1994)
A SUDDEN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE LOSS DURING HARD TURNS RESULTS IN A MOMENTARY LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST. THE PRESSURE LOSS OCCURS WHEN THE HYDRAULICALLY DRIVEN ENGINE COOLING FAN TURNS OFF IN THE TURN.
Consequence: THE DRIVER REACTS TO THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST BY OVERSTEERING, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
Remedy: THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVES WILL BE REPLACED WITH VALVES OF A NEW DESIGN. UNTIL SUCH TIME AS PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, OWNERS WILL BE INSTRUCTED TO DISCONNECT THE FAN CUTOFF SWITCH SO THAT HYDRAULICALLY DRIVEN FANS WILL RUN FULL TIME, ELIMINATING THE PRESSURE SPIKE.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
1993: 0 complaints · 1994: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |

| 1993 | 0 | 0 | 0 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1993 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 1994 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
