Leased this car at the end of March. When I attempted to install the car seat for my grandson I could not find the LATCH anchors. My sales rep attempted to find them and could not. I finally was told to make a service appointment and the service manager could not find them. Purchased my 2022 Buick Encore GX from Alexander Buick, Oxnard CA. on July 14th, 2022. On August 4th, 2022 (3 weeks and 273 miles later) was driving in the fast lane of major freeway 101 in Southern Ca.. Without any warning the car died. How I made it across two lanes to my right to get off the freeway without a seconds notice to the many cars and semis behind me I was able to veer a dead car to the side of the road with no accidents and no loss of life (mine.) We where lucky compared to the other lady who wrote in this problem area. We where parked in a parking lot, ran in store to get item, left car running for wife to listen to radio and stay warm. As I got in, we spoke and was ready to pull out of the parking space and the car went weird. The car hesitated a little but was still running and then all the warning lights came on. It told us on the screen that steering might be effected and engine will not run to full capacity. The car ran like it was in "limp" mode(like the Kawasaki ATV when they hav…

Within first couple months of ownership we had a wheel insert come off. We had it replaced at dealer Dec 2022 and noted it was two small bolts holding on the insert to actual wheel. The screws (2) appeared to have sheared off and are in line with brake rotors, calipers, and wheel itself when dislodging. The actual insert goes forward and can hit other cars and damage finish and other items as a projectile. We then had another do the same thing on different wheel 12 months later. Same issue. Reported: 2021-06-10 (June 10, 2021)

General Motors, LLC. (GM) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Buick Encore GX and 2021-2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles. The emergency jack, if not positioned as directed in the vehicle owner's manual, can fracture while in use.

Consequence: A fractured jack can cause the vehicle to collapse, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the jack, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters informing owner of the safety risk are expected to be mailed July 26, 2021. A second notice will be mailed once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is A212335470.

This is an ongoing issue that I have brought to the NHTSA's attention before, which resulted in a special coverage program being issued; however, now GM is not willing to assist me with the special coverage program due to a branded title (used vehicle), and the condition is only getting worse. Tonight, on August 16th, my vehicle experienced a complete loss of power, including engine functionality and fuel/propulsion systems. This stems from the original complaint I filed last fall (11614068) in relation to the turbocharger. I was advised by GM …

When the vehicle engages auto-off at a stoplight, the engine stalls when trying to reengage. The engine also struggles to engage from a manual start, sometimes needing to try starting the engine three or four times before it will turn on. Two Buick dealerships inspected the vehicle and confirmed GM has an open investigation on the issue and that there is currently no fix. They recommended disabling the auto-off in the meantime. There is no temporary fix for the manual ignition issue.

How I made it across two lanes to my right to get off the freeway without a seconds notice to the many cars and semis behind me I was able to veer a dead car to the side of the road with no accidents and no loss of life (mine.) Car was towed to dealer and just informed this morning that it is a faulty high…

The issue has happened three times and has been "repaired" three times. While driving, the vehicle starts to shake violently. Then the check engine light comes on and the vehicle shuts off. It has happened on extremely busy roads and almost caused major accidents. It has been a problem with fuel pump and sensor. Again, it has happened three times.

At 15,000 miles the check engine light came on while going to a store. At the store, the vehicle was put in park and tried to shut off engine. The dash said "shift to park". Took to the dealer, was told sensor went out on transmission. They said it was the electronic controle module. They didn't think that was part of the drive train warranty. When I looked online I found many other Buick owners complained of same issue. Posting online that they are slamming shifter into park up to 20 times to get sensor to register that it is in park so they c…

6/4/26 Took to dealer and stated that the check engine light was on and car was running sluggish. Had stopped at Autozone and their scan showed the code P0102. The dealer charged me 259.00 to do a diagnostic showing the same thing. 6/26/26 Back to the dealer with the same problem and now they stated they replaced the Compressor Air Intake Turbocharger and Install Vacuum Tank Kit. I had the vehicle back for few days and while I was driving, the lights came back on and the car went from 58 to 23 mph within seconds. I would have gotten hit if I…

I have a 2022 Buick Encore GX with 34,200 miles and I put my car in park but the dashboard said Shift to Park. I tried several times to put it in park but it wouldn't recognize it was in park. The car also wouldn't cut off. I reversed and went forward and back several times trying to put it in park, but it wouldn't see it was in park. I called the dealership and they said jam the gear shifter really hard forward and it would recognize it until they could see the car. The only appointments they had were 2 weeks away. I can't use my car for 2 wee…

We where lucky compared to the other lady who wrote in this problem area.
