WE PURCHASED 6 OF THESE SEATS, OF WHICH WE INTENDED ON USING 4 OF THEM IN THE REAR FACING POSITION. ATTEMPTED TO ATTACH WITH THE LATCH SYSTEM. AFTER A GREAT DEAL OF TIME SPENT GOING THROUGH THE OWNERS MANUAL I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO INSTALL THE SEATS IN THE REAR POSITION. THE FIRST AND MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT THE LATCH POSITION BELT IS TOO SHORT AND WHEN IT IS INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURES DIRECTIONS IN WILL SQUEEZE THE CHILD IN BETWEEN THE POSITION BELT AND THE HARNESS. IN MY MIND, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. I CONTACTED THE M…

A YEAR AGO I PURCHASED A NEW 2008 CHEVROLET G2500 3/4 TON SERVICE VAN. I HAVE NEVER OWNED ANY OTHER VEHICLE WHERE I WAS MORE PRONE TO HITTING THE GAS PEDAL WHILE ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS I HAVE FOUND MYSELF APPLYING BOTH THE BRAKES AND GAS AT THE SAME TIME. I PURCHASED FOUR OF THESE VEHICLES AND CAN NOT KEEP THEM ON THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND THE VEHICLE HAS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE THIS "DEATH SHAKE" STOPS. WE HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT. WATKINS SPRINGS (ALBANY, NEW YORK) HAS INFORMED ME THAT GM REMOVED THE SHOCK STABILIZER AS A COST SAVINGS MEASURE. THE VEHICLES ARE DEATH TRAPS AND THIS NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO SOMEONES ATTENTION BEFORE SOMEONE DOES DIE TRYING TO GET THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. *TR

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
