I'd be driving down the street and the brakes would start applying themselves by themselves . I took the van to Ganly Chevrolet the first time and they did a brake job and said it was fixed . I drove it about a half mile and was doing about 35MPH when the brakes locked , if I wasn't buckled in I probably would have gone through the window . MY COMPANY JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED DOZENS OF 2017 CHEVY EXPRESS VANS. ONE OF THESE NEW VANS (16 MILES ON ODOMETER) EXPERIENCED A FAULTY BRAKE BOOSTER MECHANICAL ISSUE WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKES TO ENGAGE WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DESIGN OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER INTEGRATION WITH THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS PART OF THE PROBLEM. THIS IS POTENTIALLY FATAL DESIGN FLAW IF YOU MANUFACTURE A VEHICLE THAT WOULD ENGAGE THE BRAKES JUST BY TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL.

Bought this van new & when traveling down a hill, brake assist helps slow up the van. Once the van is on level ground, it will NOT shift back out of the brake assist & it takes effort or time to return to normal D. I was told I must set up & find a hill. I had major water leaks in the van & once corrected, there started a whistling of air now. The passenger door was 1/4" off, nowhere near flush. How does that get missed? THE ENGINE WILL GO TO LOW POWER AND NOT GO MORE THAN 30 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THIS IS AN AMBULANCE CHASSIS AND IS A KNOW PROBLEM GM HAS NOT ADDRESSED YET IN THE 2012 AND 2013 CHASSIS. IT CAN DO THIS ON HWYS WITH SPEED LIMITS OF 55, 65, 70 MPH SUDDENLY WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AS NO STOP LIGHTS GIVE ANY WARNING AND YOU CAN'T SPEED UP ANYTIME IN POOR VISIBILITY OR AT ANYTIME. NOT ONLY IS IT BAD FOR THE INJURED OR ILL PATIENT IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND INJURY OTHERS. GM HAS FIXED THIS ON THE 2014 AND NEWER MODELS BUT NOT 12 &13. THIS IS NO…

ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH A 150-MILE DRIVE, THE ENGINE WENT DEAD BUT AS QUICKLY FIRED UP AGAIN SO AS NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY BY ME. BUT A THIRD INCIDENT WAS WORRISOME. WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 50 MPH ON A STRAIGHT, FLAT-AND-LEVEL STRETCH OF A MACADEM FARM ROAD, THE VAN SUDDENLY, VERY ABRUPTLY, SHIFTED INTO WHAT MUST HAVE BEEN ITS LOWEST GEAR, AND DURING ABOUT 15 OR 20 SECONDS THEREAFTER IT JERKED BACK AND FORTH AS IF IT WERE STRUGGLING TO CLIMB …

The vehicle is experiencing an under-chassis manufacturing wiring harness restriction (Connector X185) that was installed too tightly from the factory, dropping the 5-volt reference power circuit down to 0 volts under load. This intermittent electrical failure completely starves the fuel pump, causing the fuel loop pressure to drop to a dangerous 43.5 PSI while driving (GM factory specification is 55–100 PSI). This electrical breakdown simultaneously chokes the fuel tank vapor loops, causing the fuel tank pressure to spike to an extreme -1100 v…
