Car started making weird noises when being driven or accelerating on 2/14. Took it to the dealership on 2/16 first thing when they opened. After 5 hours, it was determined the engine had a catastrophic failure and needed to be replaced. This car has less than 6,000 miles and was purchased brand new.
On February 21st at approximately 9:30 AM, I was driving my brand-new 2026 Chevy Suburban High Country when I began hearing an unusual noise from the engine. There were zero dashboard warnings , no check engine light, no alerts, nothing indicating a failure. Out of caution, I immediately headed to the dealership so they could inspect it. I was driving slowly and carefully when, without any warning whatsoever, the engine suddenly and completely seized. The vehicle locked up abruptly. I barely had enough time to try to move toward the shoulder,…
On February 28, 2026 at approximately 6:08 PM, while traveling at approximately 40 mph on S. Third Street Extension near Route 119 in Mebane, NC, my 2026 Chevrolet Suburban High Country experienced a sudden catastrophic drivetrain failure at 2,010 miles with no prior warning symptoms. A loud bang was heard, and the vehicle decelerated sharply. Dashboard warnings appeared for transmission and steering service. The vehicle continued approximately 60 feet while producing severe grinding noises before all four wheels locked completely and the engin…
While driving home from Costco with my entire family in the vehicle (4 children and my pregnant wife), I noticed the engine misfiring while traveling on Interstate 80 and mentioned to my wife that something felt off with the vehicle. After exiting I-80 onto Route 46 East at the Denville exit, the truck reached the first traffic light where the vehicle rumbled violently, shook, and completely shut off. The engine would not restart. Dashboard lights illuminated but the engine would not turn over, and the hazard lights would not activate. This cre…

Today, 5/2/26 in Lewis Center, OH- My daughter and I were returning home from her Soccer game. The time was about 11am. We were in my brand new Chevy Z71 Suburban, with 4,100 miles. As we were slowing , approaching the roundabout, i noticed no power as i was preparing to enter the roundabout. I then see that the car powered off. It would not restart and i had no way to put into N. I had to call [XXX] to have the Sheriff direct traffic. I used Onstar, only to find out the tow was 216 min out. So the Sheriff called a tow and it was there…

The radio may not have been set to the correct status to download the electronic owner's manual during production. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, “Occupant Protection.”
Consequence: Without an owner's manual to consult, owners may not know how to safely use and operate the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will reset the vehicle radio, which will facilitate automatic download of the electronic owner’s manual, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 16, 2026. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-866-467-9700, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. Consequence: A bolt that loosens or breaks during vehicle operation can result in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the front left and right wheel hub bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 18, 2026. The brake system had a failure and the vehicle could not be slowed down. The brakes would come and go until I was able to stop. GM dealership diagnosed it with a failed master cylinder and the part is on national back order.
I recently took my 2023 Chevrolet Suburban in to make sure everything was working properly with the power train... it has been having bucking and stuttering between 15-45mph, which was super concerning to me, as I am transporting 3 children [XXX]. I took in yesterday, and was called back today to confirm that the issue is happening... the problem is that instead of Chevrolet recalling these vehicles to have this computer issue taken care of... they did an update and are charging their clients to have this update done. This is a serious safety h…

1) Both screens (driver display and infotainment) go black intermittently. Sometimes the infotainment comes back on, however, you cannot use all the buttons. The hard buttons under the screen for climate control (aside from the on/off ) wont work. The climate will automatically go to 76 degrees on Max Defrost. The rear climate will shut off when this happens. It also causes the radio controls on the back of the steering wheel to not work. 2) It is extremely dangerous to not have a visual indicator for the speed at which I am driving. It is a…

While driving on interstate, vehicle's engine turned off and transmission switched to neutral without warning. Vehicle was stopped and immobilized with no ability to shift or start.
The engine in 2025 Suburban (6.2L V8) has failed and the car is not drivable. It is currently in a Chevy dealership service department waiting for parts. The 2025 model is not listed under the recall. However it should be, I know of 3 2025 engines that have recently failed. I was passing a vehicle and as I took my foot off the accelerator the transmission shifted 2 times and then the engine shut off and the car was coasting. We had no indication that the engine shut off, just several messages on the screen. ( Press start button, and conditions…

The windows would go down all by themselves and not roll up . The infotainment system will flash on and off telling you to start strip all by itself. The door locks will lock you out and in not letting unlock the truck . The key fob is the only way to unlock it. I have taken it to the dealer five times to be repaired and they say GM software is not capable of finding the electrical problem. They just keep replacing parts. I filed a complaint with The State AG office and GM said they were not going to address the complaint because the vehicle wa…

The driver-side front door and related body fit/sealing system appear to be defective. The door is visibly uneven and misaligned with the surrounding body panels, resulting in excessive door gaps and significant air intrusion into the cabin while driving. The condition is available for inspection upon request, and photographs and videos documenting the issue are available. The excessive air intrusion creates substantial wind noise and driver distraction while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. The misaligned door also raises concerns rega…

While driving, suddenly began hearing loud knocking noise and lost most power. Was able to get vehicle off road, where it stopped, and had trouble starting again. Towed to dealer. Diagnosed issue as spun rod bearing.
While exiting the highway my vehicle suddenly lost power and could not move. I could not put the vehicle in neutral. The engine had completely seized. As a result, my car got hit by a Semi-truck.
The drivers side blind zone light illuminates in the mirror when no objects/vehicles are present. The condition happens every time the vehicle is driven since it was purchased new in July 2026. The false alerts occur frequently when driving and render the left (drivers) side alerts completely unreliable and distracting/dangerous for the driver. The vehicle also vibrates the drivers seat when trying to make left-hand turns and lane changes because the blind zone sensor is incorrectly sensing an object is present when there is not. At highway…
