The Service Restraint System and Air Bag lights come on intermittently while driving my 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. According to the Stonebriar Chevrolet dealer in Frisco, TX, the airbags will not deploy if the vehicle is in accident while the light is on. The dealership said they believe there is a wire harness routed in the drivers seat that is pulled too tight and needs to be to rerouted, but they did not have the time to fix the issue that day.

Recall number N192211320 ( Left Front Lower Control Arm Ball Joint Not Seated ) Chevrolet is refusing to fix this issue, saying that it's not a safety recall. This issue can effect the steering control and its very evident thats its a safety issue. They're saying this recall expires with the base warranty. This is a clear attempt to circumvent the law, by not classifying this as a safety issue.

Our Traverse shows a message “shift to park”. This happens after we have already shifted in park. This causes a continuous ding until we are able to trick the vehicle into park. The after concern is we leave the vehicle because we can’t get it to shift to park and it rolls damaging property or another person. This problem has left us stranded because we can not shift it.

When shifting into park, the vehicle does not recognize the shifter has been moved to the "park" setting. An alert will sound stating the vehicle must be shifted into park position. We then have to shift out of park and back into park...sometimes multiple times, before the vehicle recognizes that the shifter is in the Park position.

“shift to park” alert on the dash constantly comes on when you are actually parked. You then must re-start the car and put it into park again. You must do this up to TEN times to park without this signal going on. Within the last week, this has happened each and every time I have had my vehicle out. Over the last few months it has happened intermittently. Dealer says they are seeing a lot of this on my make and model when I took my car in this morning. This seems to be a VERY common problem in internet forums as to my make and model. THIS SHO…

Our 2019 traverse transmission around 130,000 miles started shuddering when slowly accelerating or driving. Not sure what causes this but I do know that it should be doing this as well as getting the Shift to Park message. I looked online and found that it's supposed to be the torque converter. I then contacted a transmission repair specialist and he stated that changing the fluid may make it worse or make it possibly fail altogether. Then I found a video about Shudder Fix and I added one of those packets to the transmission and it stopped the …

My car stalled on a four lane highway due to the alternator dying. I was able to pull over but was almost rear ended. I only had 40,000 miles on car at the time. I replaced the alternator with a factory direct from Chevy on 3/16/2022. On May 5, 2024, my car again stalled out due to alternator. At that time I was on another busy highway but had enough time to pull over. I had to have someone pick up my children and follow me home. This was discovered during a changing of tires. I don't know how long it had been broken as no obvious signs were readily apparent and my wife said it drove normal. THERE ARE CONTINUOUS DEFECTS AND CONCERN FOR SAFETY REGARDING MY 2019 CHEVY TRAVERSE. I PURCHASED A NEW 2019 TRAVERSE REDLINE ON MARCH 22, 2019 AND THE PROBLEMS BEGAN WITHIN TWO WEEKS AND LESS THAN 400 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. I WAS DRIVING MY NEW VEHICLE ON A RESIDENTIAL ROAD AND BEGAN TO SLOWLY PRESS THE BRAKE WHILE APPROACHING A STOP SIGN WHEN THE 'SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST' ALERT APPEARED, THE BRAKES MADE A GRINDING AND CLICKING NOISE WHILE SHAKING AND FELT LIKE THE BRAKE PEDAL NEEDED TO BE PUSHED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO STOP. I BROUGHT THE CAR…

WHEN STOPPING THE VEHICLE, THE AUTO-STOP KICKS IN, WHICH SOMETIMES WORKS WELL. OTHER TIMES IT KILLS THE WHOLE CAR, SHUTTING IT DOWN COMPLETELY. THE INFOTAINMENT CENTER GOES BLACK LIKE THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF USING THE START/STOP BUTTON. SO THEN IT TAKES A BIT TO GET IT RUNNING AGAIN TO GO. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US 6 TIMES NOW WITHIN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. IN HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS THIS CAN BE A SAFETY CONCERN. ALSO WHEN IT SHUTS DOWN COMPLETELY THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES SOFT AND DROPS DOWN TO THE FLOOR. ALL THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO AUTO…

My vehicle has been displaying a ''shift to park" message. The message appears when I put the vehicle in park. When I go to turn off the car the vehicle will not turn off. Sometimes If I giggle the gear shifter violently enough the car will turn off. I have had leave my car running on multiple occasions. Woken up to dead battery's because my car WILL NOT TURN OFF. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership on 3 occasions to be looked at. The first time it was noted and I was told they couldn't look at it. The second time My vehicle needed all n…

Vehicle: 2019 Chevrolet Traverse Issue: “Shift to Park” warning – vehicle fails to recognize it is in Park I am filing a complaint regarding a persistent &dangerous defect with my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse involving the “Shift to Park” warning system. For the past several years, my vehicle has repeatedly failed to recognize that it is in Park, even when it clearly is. This issue has escalated into a serious safety and reliability concern. Most recently, I was stranded in a store parking lot for over two hours because my vehicle would not properl…

My car WILL not register that it is in park even though the dash says it’s in P and my gear shift is pushed all the way up in the park gear. It has taken hours some days for it to finally acknowledge that it is indeed in the park gear. I do NOT have time for that! And if it gets to the point where I have a dead battery because I didn’t “shift to park”, Chevrolet WILL be paying for it. This is insane and apparently has been an ongoing issue for a decade! FIX IT!
