Coachmen Galleria is a class B motorhome equipped with a 30 gallon freshwater tank that is mount to the underside of the vehicle on the driver side. the tank is made of plastic and held in place by a metal frame and the frame is bolted in place to the frame in the front and the back. two bolts in front and 2 bolts on back. As a was driving the vehicle. the 2 front bolts became lose and fell out, allowing the frame and water tank to fall to the pavement on interstate 95 south at a speed of 65 mph! I, the complainant, own a 2018 Coachmen Galleria, a recreational vehicle (RV) outfitted on a 2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 van. Coachmen Galleria outfitted the van with a water tank, attached to the underside. On 7/28/2023, while driving approx. 25 mph, I had to brake abruptly, due to an animal crossing the road. I then heard a sound coming from underneath the RV and a scraping noise when I took my foot off the brake. I discovered that the water tank had fallen to the ground. I took the RV to an independent mechanic, and the water tank …

17V825000 · Electrical System:Wiring

Reported: 2017-12-19 (December 19, 2017)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018 Coachmen Galleria motorhomes, models GAB24FLM, GAB24QM and GAB24TM. The inverter was installed using a lead wire that may not be able to handle the amperage draw.

Consequence: If the lead wire cannot handle the draw, the lead wire may melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will replace the lead wire, free of charge. The recall began on January 19, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8590. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-0587.

20V479000 · Equipment

Reported: 2020-08-14 (August 14, 2020)

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2020 Coachmen Beyond, 2017-2019 Coachmen CrossFit, and 2016-2020 Galleria motorhomes. The awning may deploy while the vehicle is moving.

Consequence: An awning that deploys while the vehicle is moving increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a circuit interrupter, free of charge. This recall began September 23, 2020. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-6310. Forest Rivers's number for this recall is 225-1217.

High altitude power loss. At around 8000' elevation, 60 degrees F. Engine was turned off for around 3 hours, started normally, idle normal, shifted into reverse and there was no power. It barely crept out of level parking place with accelerator floored. Engine continued to run smoothly but no power.
