The manufacturer is aware of frame defects, including cracks, incomplete, welds, poor-quality, welds, and missing welds. On DRV manufactured fifth wheels from approximately 2014 to current having a frame fail going down the road can cause catastrophic consequences. There needs to be a full-blown investigation and a safety recall for these defects immediately and not leave it to the owners to discover the frame failing after the fact.

BRAKE FAILURE SECONDARY TO BRAKE HOSE TO RV WHEEL CYLINDER LOSING FLUID BECAUSE BRAKE HOSE RUBBED AGAINST FRAME UNTIL IT FAILED. THIS RESULTED IN LOSS OF BRAKES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP AT A CITY STREET LIGHT. I FOUND THAT SEVERAL OF THE 5 OTHER HOSES SHOWED SIGNS OF PENDING FAILURE SECONDARILY TO RUBBING AGAINST FRAME. THESE UNITS ALOS HAVE A POTENTIAL FOR CATASTROPHIC BRAKE FAILURE IF TIRE BLOWS AS LINES ARE EXPOSED.

I heard a scraping noise coming from the passenger right front axle. I jacked up the camper and the right front wheel would spin forward but not backwards. It made a scraping or grinding noise when spinning the tire. We called a mobile technician and he first discovered that the caliper brackets were bent allowing the caliper to move around and had lightly scraped the inside of the aluminum wheel. Second thing the mobile technician discovered was the rotor was not bolted tight to the hub assembly. He found that several bolts were missing and th…

THE AXLES ON THIS FULLHOUSE ARE MOUNTED TOO FAR FORWARD RESULTING IN DIMINISHED PIN WEIGHT WHEN THE GARAGE IS LOADED. ALSO INCREASES THE EFFECT THE WEIGHT IN THE GARAGE HAS ON CREATING SWAY IN THE TRAILER. THE COMPANY HAS SINCE MINE WAS CONSTRUCTED CHANGED THE LOCATION OF THE AXLES ON ALL OF THEIR FULLHOUSES FURTHER TO THE REAR TO DIMINISH THIS PROBLEM. I FEEL THAT SINCE I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION AND THAT THERE HAS BEEN A SUBSEQUENT REDESIGN OF THIS PART OF THE SUSPENSION THAT THE EARLY BUILT FULLHOUSES SHOULD BE RECALLED TO REPAIR THIS…

The contact owns a 2021 DRV All Aluminum Trailer. The contact stated he was an independent mechanic, and while he was rotating the tires, he noticed that the upper side of the brake caliper was missing the clips. The contact stated that he attempted to install new clips on the brake caliper; however, the clips failed to tighten because the brake caliper bracket was fractured. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V733000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contac…

Cracked Frame. Visual inspection. The frame is Steel. Frame is cracked at weld and across the vertical beam surface. If the frame cracks all the way the trailer could break away from tow vehicle without the hitch becoming disconnected. The left side the frame has a crack all the way across, the right side it is only about 1.5 inch.

I have had four tires come apart since we purchased this RV. All four times it has been the right front tire. The RV is a double axle with the MORryde independent suspension. I had the tire come apart this past Sunday without warning forcing me to the side of the Freeway. The tire damaged the side of the camper. When taking the tire off I noticed the brake pad was not in its proper location, It was falling out of the caliper and the brake caliper was also extremely loose. I couldn't find any mobile service company on a Sunday evening, so, I had…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
