Recall history
2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
05V114000 · Fuel System, Diesel
Reported: 2005-03-29 (March 29, 2005)
ON CERTAIN TRANSIT BUSES EQUIPPED WITH CUMMINS ISB DIESEL ENGINES, THE FUEL LIFT PUMP COULD FAIL IN A MANNER WHICH RESULTS IN ENGINE FUEL STARVATION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A STALL CONDITION. POTENTIAL LIFT PUMP FAILURE MODES INCLUDE: BRUSH WEAR OUT, BUSHING FAILURE, ROTOR TAB INSERT FAILURE, OR ANY OTHER FAILURE MODE THAT WOULD CAUSE THE FUEL PUMPING ELEMENT TO STOP SPINNING.
Consequence: IF THE FUEL LIFT PUMP PUMPING ELEMENT STOPS SPINNING AND THE FUEL PUMPING VANES STOP IN A LOCATION WHICH BLOCKS FUEL FLOW THROUGH THE LIFT PUMP, THE ENGINE WILL BE STARVED OF FUEL. FUEL STARVATION COULD CAUSE LOW ENGINE POWER, ENGINE MISFIRE, OR ENGINE STALL. PRIOR TO THE ENGINE STALLING, THE OPERATOR COULD EXPERIENCE LOW ENGINE POWER, ENGINE MISFIRE, AND/OR DASH-MOUNTED FAULT LAMP ILLUMINATION.
Remedy: CUMMINS IS CONDUCTING THE OWNER NOTIFICATION AND REMEDY FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CUMMINS AT 1-800-343-7357 OR ELDORADO AT 1-909-591-9557.
NHTSA campaign record ↗07V272000 · Fuel System, Other:Delivery
Reported: 2007-06-13 (June 13, 2007)
ON CERTAIN REAR ENGINE BUSES BUILT WITH PROPANE TANKS, WELD FAILURES ARE OCCURRING AT THE POINT WHERE THE CONNECTING TUBES MEET THE TANK BODY.
Consequence: THE WELD FAILURE MAY RESULT IN PROPANE LEAKAGE WHICH MAY RESULT IN AN EXPLOSION OR FIRE.
Remedy: ELDORADO REPLACED THE TANK ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 9, 2007.

Darker cells indicate a larger share of submitted complaints. Components overlap. This measures complaint composition, not failure probability.
Failure mileage by component

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2003: 0 complaints · 2005: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2003 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2005 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2003 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2005 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
Components reported together
Each cell counts unique complaints naming both components. Open a nonzero cell for examples.

Co-reporting does not establish that one component caused another concern.
