RADIATOR TANK STARTED LEAKING AT A RATE OF OVER 15 QTS PER HOUR ON TRIP TO FLORIDA. KEPT FILLING WITH WATER TO GET 2 HOURS TO FINAL DESTINATION. REPLACEMENT OF RADIATOR WAS DONE AT NORTH TRAIL RV IN FORT MEYERS AT MY EXPENSE OF $6,195.34. SPARTAN MOTORS IS THE MANUFACTURER OF THE CHASSIS AND THIS IS A WELL KNOWN AND DOCUMENTED PROBLEM WITH API RADIATORS. OCTOBER 2018, 21199 ODOMETER READING, ON PUBLIC TWO LANE HIGHWAY, THREE FAULT CODES ANNUNCIATED. PULLED OFF HIGHWAY ON NARROW SHOULDER WITH HEAVY TRUCK TRAFFIC PASSING. THE DEF MEASURING DEVICE IN THE DEF TANK FAILED AT AROUND 27,500 MILES. THE DEF MEASURING DEVICE MEASURES QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF THE DEF FLUID. WHEN THIS DEVICE FAILS TO WORK PROPERLY, IT THROWS ECM CODES THAT START TO LIMIT THE ENGINE FOR SPEED AND WILL LIMIT THE MILES THE COACH CAN BE DRIVEN. The contact owns a 2017 Spartan Entegra Cornerstone RV. The contact stated while starting the RV to leave a campsite, he became aware that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer who inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the failure as a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system sensor head that needed to be replaced. Traveling at highway speeds, engine running at approximately 1,700 RPM without warning, a catastrophic engine failure occurred. Piston connection rod appears to have failed, causing both sides of engine block and oil pan to be destroyed, dumping oil and coolant onto roadway. Cummins ISX15 diesel engine. This dropped large pieces of engine block and debris all over the road causing a danger to other drivers. 16V745000 · Steering:Hydraulic Power Assist:Pump

Reported: 2016-10-17 (October 17, 2016)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain model year 2017 Cornerstone motorhomes manufactured April 13, 2016, to August 25, 2016. The affected vehicles have a power steering pump that may have an occasional loss of output power resulting in reduced or intermittent loss of power steering assist.

Consequence: An intermittent loss of power steering assist could increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Entegra will notify owners, and Qualified Spartan Service Centers will replace the power steering pumps, free of charge. The recall began on November 10, 2016. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787. Entegra's number for this recall is 9903325.

16V761000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer

Reported: 2016-10-20 (October 20, 2016)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Cornerstone and Anthem motorhomes manufactured April 7, 2015, to August 18, 2016. The affected vehicles are equipped with a Tempurpedic Sealy Mattress that may burn quickly when on fire. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 302, "Flammability of Interior Materials."

Consequence: If the mattress burns quickly, a vehicle occupant may not have enough time to exit the vehicle in the event of a fire, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Entegra will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Tempurpedic Sealy Mattress with a Sleep Number Mattress, free of charge. The recall began on November 3, 2016. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Entegra's number for this recall is 9903329.

16V827000 · Vehicle Speed Control:Accelerator Pedal | Electrical System:Wiring

Reported: 2016-11-15 (November 15, 2016)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain model year 2017 Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone, and Insignia motorhomes manufactured April 15, 2016, to October 25, 2016 and built on Spartan Motors chassis. The throttle circuit wires on the affected vehicles may not have been be twisted to cancel out electromagnetic interference, and as a result, interference may cause the throttle signal to be higher or lower than intended.

Consequence: Unintended deceleration or acceleration can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Entegra has notified owners, and Spartan service centers will install an overlay harness with twisted wires, free of charge. The recall began on November 29, 2016. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-800-543-4277 or Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787.

16V873000 · Forward Collision Avoidance: Sensing System

Reported: 2016-12-05 (December 5, 2016)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain 2017 Cornerstone vehicles manufactured October 26, 2015, to November 18, 2016 and built on a Spartan Motors chassis. The affected vehicles are equipped with a Wabco OnGuard Collision Mitigation System that may have been installed upside down reducing its functionality.

Consequence: Reduced collision mitigation functionality may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Entegra will notify owners, and Spartan Motors dealers will correct the orientation of the radar and re-calibrate the system, free of charge. The recall began on January 26, 2017. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-855-589-9836 or Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Entegra's number for this recall is 9903335.

17V187000 · Suspension:Front:Control Arm

Reported: 2017-03-17 (March 17, 2017)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain 2012-2013 and 2015-2018 Anthem; 2013 and 2017-2018 Aspire; and 2012-2018 Cornerstone motorhomes built on a Spartan Motors chassis. The ball joints on the independent front suspension (IFS) modules can loosen and separate, leading to a partial loss of steering.

Consequence: A separated ball joint can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Entegra will notify owners, and Spartan service centers will remove, clean, apply thread locker, and reinstall the properly torqued ball joint, free of charge. The recall began on April 25, 2017. Owners may contact call Spartan customer service at 1-800-543-4277 or Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787.

17V695000 · Exterior Lighting

Reported: 2017-11-03 (November 3, 2017)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone, and Insignia motorhomes. The vehicles have lights that do not include reflectors and the vehicle does not have separate reflectors. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Without the required reflectors, the motorhome may be less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Entegra will notify owners, and dealers will install compliant reflectors, free of charge. The recall began on January 2, 2018. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-945-4787. Entegra's number for this recall is 9903363.
