Owner report 11487657 · 2022-10-03 (October 3, 2022)

This Dodge Pro Master Van is the housing for my Entegra Ethos Li 20T RV camper van, Unit Serial No: [XXX]. It was manufactured by Jayco in their Entegra facility. I purchased this RV in Tampa, FL at the LazyDays Dealership. I was on my first long road trip with my vehicle and staying at the Elkhart Campground in Elkhart, IN. On August 12, 2022 I was driving my vehicle when the smoke alarm went off. I pulled off the road and got out quickly. Not seeing smoke, I entered the vehicle via the passenger side sliding door. Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

21V893000 · Seat Belts:Rear/Other:Retractor | Seat Belts:Front:Retractor

Reported: 2021-11-17 (November 17, 2021)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Jayco Swift and Entegra Ethos motorhomes. The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Consequence: An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt retractors as needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 21, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

23V325000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer | Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings

Reported: 2023-05-04 (May 4, 2023)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Ethos, Expanse, Solstice, and Swift Class B recreational vehicles, equipped with certain Cummins Onan QG 2800i, and Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets. The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.

Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect, and replace the fuel hose and clamp, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

24V762000 · Equipment:Other:Labels

Reported: 2024-10-14 (October 14, 2024)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Entegra Ethos, Ethos LI, Jayco Swift and Swift LI vehicles. The Tire and Loading Information Label incorrectly lists the tire load range. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Consequence: Incorrect tire and load range information could cause owners to select underrated replacement tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2024. Owners may contact Jayco Customer Service at 800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903614.

Upon inspecting the undercarriage of my RV, I discovered that the nut that secured the bolt for the anti-sway bar on the driver's side, rear axle was loose, to the point where I was able to remove it by hand. The RV has only 5,770 miles on it. Of relevance to this, while inspecting this unit prior to purchasing it in April, 2025, it was discovered that the nut for the anti-sway bar on the PASSENGER'S SIDE was missing. Upon pointing this out to the dealer (Le Mesa, Cape Coral, FL) it was replaced with a standard nut; not a nyloc nut as is OEM…

I have a major issue with my 2023 Entegra Ethos Class B RV that I purchased new in June 2023 from La Mesa RV in Arizona. The vehicle currently has 14,083 miles. On a trip last week we began experiencing a severe vibration in the right rear of the van when driving highway speeds of 65 - 70 mph. I went to a tire store and was told that the tires are incorrect for the weight of this vehicle. Discount Tire has a policy that does not allow them to mount tires that do not meet the vehicle's specification. The left rear tire is bulging down the center…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
